The Grounds

I roll my eyes. I really don't want to have to use my animagus form.
"What a childish thing to say."
The storm roars above us, and the rain starts pouring down.

"Says the Death Eater looking to pick a needless fight over going outside in the rain."

"Pick a fight? I came out here to be by myself in the storm. Until you came butting in."

"Butting in?" I look at her with a raised eyebrow. "I didn't know anyone else was out here."

And I though Crouch was the crazy one.

ooc: I think I might have gone out for the dragon. I'm not craz - wait - that's not any sort of defensible position...

ic: I ignore him again. No point in arguing with half-wits who clearly don't understand the importance of blood purity, let alone House pride or allegiance. I draw, but before I can cast any spell, verbal or otherwise, a flash of light cracks over our heads and a nearby tree begins to fall.

I take a glance at the tree and jump back to avoid it, drawing my wand in case she tries anything in the commotion.

Always let the enemy make the first move, then coordinate from there.

Wise advice, father. Wise advice.

I throw myself sideways, rolling behind a large rock. I'm pretty sure the flash and the tree covered my exact location, but there's no point in waiting around here. The Forbidden Forest is close - and I pause, torn between my options. There's a second flash, this one not so bright, and my mind is made up. This scum - a Stray? - will have to wait.

I melt into my animagus form and slither back into the foliage. He'll just have to keep on guessing.

After several minutes, I put my wand away. The enemy must've retreated. Smart on their part but next time I may not be afforded that luxury.

OOC: Because I havent used her in a while...

I wander around outside for a bit, shivrering from the cold. It was nice that Crest guy was helping me but I needed to think for a sec. I just found out I was part of a great family of...Aurors did he say? And also the fact that I had a brother.
Suddenly, I run into someone without looking (Artemis)
"Oh, I'm sorry..." I try to walk past him

Still a little jumpy from my almost battle with the unnamed death eater, my hand instinctively goes to my wand.

However, seeing the silver hair and the overall appearance of the girl, my hand leaves as quickly as it came, "Oh it's okay. Sorry about that."

I shake my head
"It's fine." I then hold out one hand
"I'm Kerigan, Strayer."

My smile turns cordial and I shake her hand, "Kerigan Strayer... I'm sorry I can't say we're acquainted. But it's a pleasure to meet you."

I smile nervously
"Same to you, but..." I pause "your acting so kind like you know me. I've already had a rather strange day as it is."

"Really? How so?" Crest had yet to bring me up to speed on Kerigan. Seldom did he disclose details to others.

I look down, feel ashamed as I say this
"My memory's gone...I didn't know I was a part of any family..."

"Oh dear... sorry to hear about this! If there's any way I can help you, please let me know."

I throw my arms up
"I really wish I had some idea of who would do this to me.... I also apparently have a brother named Trajectory."

"Oh I've worked with him before, he's a great man."

"Do you have anyone else helping with this?"

I nod
"A guy named Crest, he's the one who nearly broke my neck before bringing me here." I shake my head
"Still don't get how I caught his hand, it felt like lightning."

"He was testing your reflexes I imagine..." I sigh and shake my head, "He never was one for a conversation."

I pace around a bit, my feet filled with anxious anger, which leads to me saying something I didn't think I meant
"If I ever find the person who did this to me I will murder them." My hands tighten at the thought

"hey now..." I put a hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry, we will find out who did this. And why."

"Justice will be carried out."

Just as he says that my head starts stinging and voice rings out
This is Justice
I snap back into reality and look up at him
"Then there's that..." I furrow my eyebrows "that...haunting voice."

"What does it say?" I implore gently while motioning for us to sit on the newly fallen tree.

I sit down and shiver a bit from the wind
"It just says...'This is Justice'." I shake my head, a little bit more frustrated
"I don't know what it means or who says it but...I'd have nightmares all the time of someone saying that and then it looks like they were going to kill me but...I wake up before it happens."
