She kindly and warmly smiled at Joachim.-Hey! You having fun?-

"Oh yeah.. lots of fun.." I try to sound as sincere as possible but my constant shifts unearth my lack of ease.

She smiled, even though she noticed how he felt.-Well, I'm glad to hear that.-

"So yeah... we're all cool then... about... well.. ya know..."

She nodded.-Of course. Please do not worry about that.-

I sigh in relief, "Thanks..."

She smiled.-It's no problem...-

Topher: "Well Chimmy, you ready?"

Joachim: "For what?"

Topher: "Ya speech, you're the best man remember?"

Arriving just outside the Noir household, it was every bit as I remember.

Ged reappeared slightly uneasily, just behind Enzo.

He gave an amused smirk past his beard, looking to the household with a curious and stern look.
"this is it, yes?"

"Yes... in there lived the damned fool who stole he... *ahem* Mael Noir and my daughter, his.... wife."

A smirk, the man put a hand to his friend's shoulder.
"Old resentments, I see. I don't take it Mael asked you before marrying your daughter?"
A good-natured laugh, despite the circumstances broke from Ged, and his scarred and bearded face lit up with amusement.
"Always the rebels, children. But always out to find true love. Come on, we mustn't waste time."

"I had attempted to bring the Noir family into my service but they wouldn't have it... instead, my Agatha started seeing the Noir heir and the rest is self explanatory..."

I knock on the door.

Ged crossed his arms and raised a brow.
"I denied your ideals as well, do not forget, old friend. They weren't the most popular, you know."

The Shapeshifter silenced himself and looked to the door, curious to see Enzo's daughter.

Agatha: The woman was about 40 years of age, but still just as beautiful as ever. She didn't take too much from Enzo, except for his face shape. "Father..."

Enzo: "Agatha, we need your help."

Agatha: "No. I'm done with you."

"Well if it isn't young Agatha. You look just as I remember you. I doubt you recognize my face, as I knew you when you were much younger..."

Ged's voice cut in kindly, as he stepped forward to look at the woman who was the daughter of probably his closest friend and ally.
"My, my, you've grown..."

"Just... go please.." the door begins to close on the two of them.

Instantly, Ged stuck his walking staff between what was open of the door, to stop her from closing it on them.

His tone was gentle, but stern.
"Agatha, please hear us out. There is a dark force out there and it has corrupted your son, and many others."

Agatha: Her eyes erupted with fury at the man who gave her life, "What did you do to him?!"

Enzo: "I did nothing! I'm trying to fix what happened!"

Ged's voice was even and did not change to worry or upset.
In fact, it was calming and gentle.


"Agatha, it was not your father who did anything. Your father is not lying. He tried to protect your son best he could. My girl, we're sure we know how to bring him to his senses, but we need to further investigate."

I open the door, "Enter, but I have full right to order you to leave." As if I even had that, these two men were much stronger than me.

The shapeshifter gave a polite bow, a nod of thanks.

"Thank you, Agatha. I assure you, the reason we are here to help your son. I might call upon my own niece, who is fond of legends of the sort of man we're looking for. A man of shadows."

I sit down on one of the luxurious coaches only found in the finest of housing. Truly the Noir family had not lowered in social status.

"So explain everything that happened. Everything and how you plan on fixing him."

The man nodded as he entered, but did not sit.
He was a traveller, and knew well of his own status in the world- his own carefulness would even go toward the fact that he would not 'filthy' her couches with his own body.


Carefully, he scowled and shook his head.
"I was called later than intended. I do not know all of the man, but when I arrived, your son was in fine health. The shadow man was obviously trying to win his side. However, when refused, he quickly called in his allies. People poisoned with darkness. The creature forced them into Topher. As for helping him, my niece was afflicted with the same. It was all a matter of finding her humanity."
