I look toward one particular girl and feel an odd familiar twinge, "excuse me?"

I recignise the voice but dont look up. 'Thought you said you didnt want to tlak to me until i decided what i wanted to do?'

"I'm sorry I think you've mistaken me for someone..."

'Funny...' I look up and trail off, staring at him.

"No, I'm serious. I don't think we've ever met before. My name is Artemis."

'I know your name is Artemis, your meant to be my best friend!' I out the book on the table and stand up, walking over to him. 'what have you done, so you cant even remember that?'

"I honestly don't know what you're talking about. I don't know you."

'Yes you do!' I take a step back, suddely realising something. 'Oh my god, you forgot me because i caused you pain. is this to punish me, or you?'

I take a step back too, "I have no idea what you're going on about! I don't know who you are!! We've never met before!"

'thats because you cant remember! How can i prove it to you...'

"Has everyone gone crazy?" I mutter to myself.

'No, honey, just you.' I say quietly, closing my eyes to think. 'Would you let me show you something- to prove to you that you do know me?'

It takes me a minute to ponder this, but in the end, I nod my head, wanting to trust her. But I am convinced I don't know her.

I show him my memories, of us meating, becoming friends. conversations we have had, problems we face. I dont sugar coat it, i show myself sinking, him trying to pull me back to be the girl he cared about. then i show us fighting after he arrested death, me stealing his wand, his trial.
i show him as my friend, and as the person i want back as my friend.
'See? you do know me.'

I shake my head while holding, "No... all that isn't right. That all NEVER happened to me. I'm just an ordinary man."

'You are not ordinary. you are Artemis Strayer, Sound, auror extradinar, my best friend. That all happened, and now you dont remember because i brtrayed you and hurt you. this is my fault...'

"You got only ONE part of that correct. My name is definitely Artemis Strayer, but I have no idea what the rest of what you're talking is."

I turn away from him. 'im sorry. i cant even look at you now. you hated me for betraying you...this i betrayal in itself.'

"Look, I don't know who it is you think I am, but I'm sure whatever happened to him, he had a good reason." I put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

'please dont touch me.' I whisper.

"I'm sorry I'm not who you think I am. Really I am." I start walking out.

'Wait.' I turn and stare at him. 'How many people have looked at you strangly or asked you why you cant remember things? because im sure its more than me.'
