"Have fun with that."

Logan's stomach rumbled; he'd been out here longer than he thought.

"You don't happen to have any food do you?"

He patted down his pockets, shaking his head sadly. 'No, but i could kill a rabbit.' Lukas then gestured to the castle.

'-or the Great Hall could be an idea.'

"I am so sick of rabbit..."

'Great hall it is then.' he turned on his heel, pacing in the direction of the castle.

Logan rubbed his belly. Though it was fake, it needed food just as a human body would. He followed Lukas to the school.

Cynder loved the Forbidden Forest. She really did.
Despite any circumstances, it was a surprisingly peaceful place.

Creepy, but peaceful.

Turning to make sure her friends were keeping up, the shapeshifter limped with a grin on her face.
She certainly was in a fine mood, despite everything.

"All right, then, here we go-"

Crest: I walk toward a try and apply a spell to my hands to make them as sticky as spider silk, "Stay on the ground, I'll keep watch from above." With that I start climbing the tree.

Topher: "Never any room for debates with the guy is there?"

Cynder smirked as she watched Crest, nudging Topher with her elbow and whispering to him under her breath.
"Spider-Crest, Spider-Crest. Does whatever a Spider-Crest does..~"


Of course, her joking was short-lived as she soon turned toward the shadows and inhaled deeply.
"All right, then.... let's get this over with-.... Pitch Black..? Boogeyman, can you hear us..?"

I chuckle at her joke, "Man we got to joke about muggle things more often."

But my face turns serious as I look toward the shade, and speak out in a audible whisper, "Here, Pitchy, here boy..." I make a series of short whistles, as though calling to a dog.

Cynder could hear Topher just barely, and it took most of her willpower not to burst out laughing.
How degradingly hilarious!

There was silence for a long moment, and the girl felt a bit discouraged. She turned and rested her back on the trunk of a thin tree before a rustle of clothing was heard in the shadows, and a shadowy hand snaked over her shoulder and gently gripped her joint.
When the owner of the long-fingered hand spoke, his voice was velvety and seductive as always; he blatantly ignored Topher's degrading calls.
"Well, well, little Cynder, is it not? Why on earth might you be calling me here...?"

My three pointed eyes turn to Pitch, reigniting the primal desire for retribution against the man who had hurt my friend so cruelly, warned my mother and took control of me.

It takes a lot for me not to try out my pathetically underdeveloped ability to take control of moments.

"You..."

Topher's voice, now a hateful little quip of recognition, finally was addressed by the Shadow man.

Pitch looked upwards, letting go of Cynder and pacing quietly toward the boy.
He clasped his hands together and gave a mock look of warmth.
"Well, well! If it isn't Cristopher.... good to see you so... well. What are you doing out here, hm?"

"We're here to give ya somethin'..."

If it were up to me, it'd be an asswhoop!

"With your expression, I'd say that's a nice curse to the face..?"

Pitch was obviously doubting the truce between them for now. He scowled and turned, to find Cynder right before him.
She frowned slightly.

"No, afraid not. Something else, though."

"And what in the nine rings of whatever hell I'm damned to could that possibly be?"

"Take a gander at this." I gesture to the locket.

Pitch's eyes shot to the locket, and he gave a small scowl.
"... a mere trinket. Wonderful, thanks, but I'm afraid you're missing Christmas by several months. I don't need a silly trinket."

OOC I enjoyed it! Steller animation and a compelling story!

Pitch snatched the locket from the air without so much as a wince.
He glanced it over, a strange flash of green appearing in his golden eyes.

"...hm...?"


Unlocking it, the man looked momentarily to the picture inside; his reaction was stunning.

Though, at first, he didn't seem to recognize the gentle face of the girl inside, it soon seemed to strike the man.
His pointed face covered with complete confusion, and he dropped the locket, backing up quickly, a hand raising to the place on his neck that he touched in moments of weakness- where that mere photo hung in his days of light.

Horror flashed through Pitch's eyes, and he ran into a tree, leaning against it as if trying to flee from the photo of his own daughter.
"-Where.... where did you find that...?"

"Iceman got it from the mountains, he didn't go too far into it."

OOC I liked him! He was a cool villain! Awesome powers and an understandable motive

"Iceman-?"

"Our friend, Crest. He found it for us..."


Pitch froze. His eyes narrowed, and he tensed visibly.
If one looked hard enough, they could see the shimmer of hot tears in the corner of the Boogeyman's eyes.
He was confused, but a feeling of fiery emotions burned hot within his heart.

Cynder picked up the locket and once more held it out to him.
The man hesitated, then reached forward and took it from her. Where the locket met his grey hand, a human tone of color seemed to spread from his fingers to his palm.
"... who.... who is this......?"

"That's ya lass that is... Ya daughter."

Crest peers down to look at Cynder as though asking if now was the moment to strike.

Daughter...
A twinge of more recognition, Pitch wavered. His gaze was unfocussed, misty, as if unsure.
His thumb gentle stroked over the small picture, as the human color spread.
"... my.... daughter...."
A pause. The once confident and dark-toned voice had held a gentle sound, now. THe sound of a father looking at his daughter.
His shoulders relaxed, his eyes grew soft.
"... Ser.... Serephina....."



Cynder caught sight of Crest's glance and shook her head slightly.
Pitch would not attack now, it seemed. And she had no desire for Pitch to be hurt.

Crest nods his head and stays hidden in the leaves, while Topher watches him with interest.

"Kozmotis...?"

Cynder spoke softly, cocking her head to the side.
"... Kozmotis Pitchiner....?"


Pitch reacted to the call of the name instantly. His eyes lifted, his shoulders once more tensing; his fingers clutched tightly around the locket.
"... where is she?"

"Come again?" Cynder scowled.

"Where is my daughter....?"
