The Great Hall

Aqua stepped into the hall she loved that she had been sorted into the house with red as it's dominate colour as she played with her scarlet and gold tie a little before heading over to Gryffindor table with a mischievous smile.

He dragged his feet to the center of the Great Hall, counting his every step. As he reached his destination, his unblinking eyes began examining the architecture of the cavernous hall.

This place seems nice. Nicer than my last school at least.

His disproportionate arms swung by his side with each step, in perfect metronome with his feet. This was the way he liked it: everything perfectly in rhythm. It helped maintain order in his own little world.

Now, where's the common room?

Multiple students hid their faces as he looked at them, expecting at least one to help him.

I look toward a new kid, and stand up, "Hey guy, need help?"

Ah, here we go.

He stopped examining the hall and instead moved his unending stare to the student before him.

"Yes," his voice was unusually monotone "I need to know where I can find the Hufflepuff common room."

He extended his unusually large hand "My name's Lewis."

Pretty robotic, but then again he's not half as bad as my brother, at least he talks.

" nice to meet you, Matt, I'm the great Artisan Strayer!!" I yell out in pride for all in the great hall to hear.

Oh, one of THESE guys. This school should prove to be sufficiently interesting.

"Well Mr. Strayer," he retracted his hand; it seemed he would not receive the warm welcome he illogically expected "If we could hurry along to the common room, or should I wait for your ego to calm down a bit?"

His voice stayed a constant tone. Lewis noticed a few other students hiding their giggles at his mocking remark. He stood there, large hand back to his side, awaiting the answer to his question.

"No need to get testy, here, follow me, I know where it is, buddy."

Lewis shrugged his heavy shoulders "Just making an observation."

He grabbed his suitcase and satchel, God knows he can't forget that, and began following his new guide.

Perhaps I should tread lightly; I've had experience with his type before, and I'd prefer not to fall out with anyone so early on in a new school.

He patted his satchel, even shook it a couple of times. He concentrated on his guide when he was satisfied that nothing was broken within.

I turn around and start walking out, "Ah don't worry about it, I'm not the kind to hold a grudge..."

Garret was sitting at Hufflepuff table his foot propped up on the bench next to him, as he read from an old black book barely touching the plate of food in front of his caramel eyes flying across the page.

ic Keanna skipped insde, giggling to herself as she spotted all of the food. She would have to go to the Kitchens and convince the House elves to aid her in her desire for mischeif. She scanned the hall, searching for someone to sit with.

He just happened to look up at the sound of a giggling his eyes falling on the blonde girl who had skipped into the hall he offered a small dazzling smile. His smoky lined eyes traveling along her body for an instant before snapping back to her face.

ahhaha, Keanna's going to seem really shallow.

The girl maneuvred her way over to him, beaming back. 'And who might you be?' When she moved the sound of a bottle clinking in her robes could be heard.

Ic He grinned offering her his hand nails black as night and many silver chains adorned his wrists along with a kanji tattoo on his left wrist "I'm Garret.. and who might you be, beautiful?"
