Chase rushes after her, desperate to reach Ace. "Quickly!"

Jim rolls his eyes, simply walking fast. "I don't run," he growls.

"Yes, let's leave..." The complex didn't explode. The game goes on! I have Jim's address, and I have Acy as my own! My heart performs somersaults! I couldn't have written a better day!

"Come on my Acy!" I hug her close and start running for an exit, hoping the group doesn't find the hallway I went down.

Ace practically latched onto Query, feet struggling to keep up with his strides, still weak from the electric shocks. 'we're moving too fast..' she gasped, stumbling.

Amaya stopped, smelling the air and snapping her head in the other direction. 'We're going the wrong way.' she didn't explain how she knew, following the scent.

Chase simply skids to a halt and darts after her again. "Lead the way, Amaya."

Jim continues strolling along behind them, indifferent. If they can catch Query, he'll help them, but otherwise he has plans of his own.

"Sorry, my Acy... I'm just far too excited I guess." I slow my pace ever so slightly while keeping a possessive hold on her.

Ace barely kept up, air hammering in and out of her lungs as she continued clinging to hm. 'It's okay.. I understand your need to be out of here.'

Amaya could tell she was getting closer, grabbing Eagle's hand and practically dragging him half the way. 'She smells weird, like... her skin's been burnt or something.'

"If he's hurt her..." Chase trails off, pure fury making him actually shake. "I swear to God..." Using his anger as fuel for his running, Chase pushes himself faster.

'Move another step and the next knife will be for your head.' Amaya instructed calmly, hurling one to try and pin his suit to the wall.

'A-Amaya? what's going on?' Ace tensed, frightened out of her wits.

"It's alright, love, we're here now," Chase says in a soothing voice, but the glare he directs at Query couldn't be more murderous.

Ace's grip on Query tightened, if she'd been any stronger she would've constricted his airways. An arry of emotions flooded her face when she saw Eagle: First it was joy, then relief, then confusion..

it ended with her looking utterly hurt and betrayed.

'Ah shit.' Amaya prepared another knife, reading Ace's expression clearly. 'Eagle, she don't look right.'

His grey eyes as cold as ice, Chase fixes them on Query's, snarling, "What did you do?!"

Jim eventually catches up, strolling along at his own pace. He shrugs and grins at Query behind Amaya and Chase's backs in a 'whoopsie daisy!' expression.

I look back into Eagle's eyes with a smirk of evil triumph. "Me? Why I answered a riddle for her that she was having trouble with."

Pointing at Eagle with a trembling finger, Ace's tone was simply laden with fear, pupils dilated from her mental unhingement. 'Y-You all did this to me, hurt me, made me feel wrong.'

Amaya opened her mouth to speak, before closing it again with her lack of words. If only she was close enough to slap the girl. she's really losing it.

"No, it was him." Chase jerks his head towards Query. But still, like a knife, guilt stabs him in the heart, twisting painfully; he chose his own safety over Ace's, and he will never forgive himself for that.

Amaya stuck out her bottom lip sourly, taking a step closer to them, focusing entirely on her sister. 'If you really believe him Ace, tell me to leave, tell your own sister to abandon you.'

Ace hesitated, clutching at tufts at her hair, trying to rip it out. 'Stop, everyone... stop.' Her expression simply looked tortured now, she couldn't figure out what was going on.

"Everyone, back off of her," Chase says quietly, his gaze softening when he glances at Ace.

However, when he returns it to Query, a slight smile plays on his lips. Jim watches with interest; that knowing smirk is often the one he uses, so it will be interesting to him to see what Chase does.

"Tell me, Query." He tips his head to the side. "What's it like to have your game ruined?"

I burst into audible laughter, "Forgive my arrogance, Eagle, but if you believe the game ruined because of this... well, a straightjacket might be too good for you.."

'Query.. I don't want to be here.' Ace remained attached to him; she could've walked away if she wanted to. Her mind was too scrambled to understand any nuance of logic.
