'Eh, that power could easily go to your head, like it did with your Grandad. But hey, i'm sure you're better than that.' she tried to be reassuring, somehow.

ic she shot him a serious look for a moment. 'I won't let you become like your grandad anyway, you're too cool for it.' she nudged him again, wishing she knew the appropriate thing to say.

OOC But he has to keep active focus to do this and clarity of vision and as inexperienced as he is that's easy to divert.

ic 'I'll be seeing you at the wedding, good luck.' with that, she turned away, finally stepping inside.

Coming in from a late night stroll, he paused to kick the dirt off his shoes as best he could before treading into the grand entrance hall.

Joachim: The chance to lift a wallet... awesome! I try to approach Kai from behind.

Crest: I watch the situation ready to intervene if need be.

He slid his wand from his jacket pocket and turned to face Joachim. "Don't. Even. Think about it."

Crest: "Impressive..." I can't help but whisper.

Joachim: "Oh um... I just... noticed ya dropped soemthin'..." I try to smoothly lie out of this.

He smirked, his cold calculating eyes looking Jaochim over. "Please, I know your type. Thieves, pickpockets, conmen. You can't fool me into one of your tricks." He slowly slid his wand back into his pocket. "I know all the tricks of the trade."

"Oh please... I've been around the block more than once, kiddo... you're no crook..."

"You don't have to be a crook to know how they do it," was his witty comeback. "There's only three people in the hall right now. You, me, and that creepy guy over there," he nodded toward Crest. "Now seeing as you were approaching me from behind and as silently as one can in an empty hall in the middle of the night; I figured you were up to no good. Luckily, my assumption was right."

Crest: This one is very observant. A trait most admirable.

Joachim: "Yeah well... screw you.."

"I see I've left you speechless." He smiled, satisfied.

"And I'll leave you conscious-less if ya keep it up..."

"You really need to work on your comebacks," he said unimpressed.

Joachim: "And ya need to work on ya laying on the floor cryin'... here let me help ya.." I go to punch him.

Crest: Things have escalated too far, I run over to see if I can stop a fight in time.

He ducked the punch and laughed. "Nice try," he said taking a step back. "I give you props for throwing the first punch."

I command the both of them whilst getting in between them, "Enough."

He kept the amuse smirk on his lips as he acknowledged Crest.

Joachim: "You and what army?"

Crest: I turn toward Joachim and give a menacing glare.

Joachim: He backs away in fright.

He wasn't about to argue with the big one. However the conman was fun to argue with. A game to Kai of sorts.
