"Pitch Black,"
Pitch introduced himself with a curt tone, half-bowing.
"I sensed fear... I couldn't keep away, I will admit... it was so very intoxicating..."


Descole stepped toward Annete, away from the shadowy man.
He couldn't talk. He couldn't understand all of this.

"I have no time for this stupidity..." I Close my eyes and then open them again. The chaos symbol in my eyes were beginning to rotate in my eyes like the wheels of a wagon to cerberus, I was readying for an attack against the entity of darkness.

Descole held a panicked hand to Boniface, eyes wide under his mask.

"Boniface, do not even-"


Pitch cut in smoothly.
"Honestly, you think that might affect me...? Mortals are dumber than I thought.."

"All things in life, no matter their origin are affected by luck.."

Pitch gave a crooning laugh, his silky voice affected with pure amusement.
"Luck? Perhaps. But even more so, are they affected with fear..."

The shadows gave a groan, clawing at his feet, to the others.

"Come, now, don't bother about me. Your... negotiations were getting so interesting, as well..!"


Descole felt angry. Scared, but angry.
His shoulders trembled slightly out of upset.
"Honestly, people cannot knock these days? There is a door!"

I turn away from the creature of darkness, trying not to pay it any mind. "Cayden, you may believe what you're trying will succeed, but sadly you're just deluding yourself."

Descole knew that though Boniface was a threat for now, this... Pitch.... was still a problem.

He was standing there, mockingly, in the half-shadows, grinning like a fool at his unease.

I sigh in true regret, "That's throughly regrettable. Thou could've been a lot Cayden."

"But it matters not, I'm afraid both of thou are now useless to me." I close my eyes again.

Descole stared fully at Boniface, now, as he closed his eyes.

Yet this man was a loose cannon.
Anything... he could do anything to the both of them...!

Suddenly, Jean felt a cold hand wrap around his arm.
Pitch's voice was right in his ear, just a whisper.
"He could kill you,"
The Boogeyman muttered,
"He could kill your love, too... and you won't be able to do anything aboutit..."


Panic flashed over Descole's face, and he moved so his arm was around Cayden protectively.
"Leave, Boniface,"
He commanded, tone shaking,
"Or we will arrest you, or kill you for good.."

"I make thou this offer Descole, bring the Noir to me, and I shall spare the both of you right now and I shall never pose a threat to the two of thou again."

Pitch's grip drew tighter on Descole's arm, eyes turning momentarily to Cayden.
His smirk was cruel, cold, calculating.

The Boogeyman was doing his job.

Descole stared right at Boniface. His lips were drawn in a scowl, his eyes wide, tears pricking the corners of his eyes.

"Go, Boniface..."
It was hard to resist. His voice cracked.
"I do not know of this Noir boy.."

"Think on it, when thou returns to reason, find me, you know how to." Wioth that I disapparate out.

With the leave of Boniface, Pitch released Descole and stepped back for a moment.

Descole remained frozen. He had never felt like this, not in a long time.
His mind was racing, his face pale.

'Jean?' she tugged at his arm, her concern only growing. What had Pitch done..?

Cayden stepped in front of him, attempting to break the unusual trance Descole seemed to have slipped into.

The auror swallowed, trying to regain his composure, blinking a few times and glancing to Cayden.
"I'm sorry, Annete, I should have run him through..."

Pitch smirked from his spot in the darkness, and sunk into the shadows.
His presence lingered, but his form had vanished.

Me: YESsssss you should have

"Perhaps.."

Descole pulled away from Cayden, pacing slightly before finding a chair and sitting quickly, moving a hand to rub his temple.

"My apologies, Cayden...I- I've never felt like that before."

He found himself unable to relax.
The biting, nagging, tearing fear was unbearable, horrible, painful.

"Damn that man, and whatever he did... who was that sick bastard, anyway?"
