'Why are you kind to me? Most people want me or my family dead and try to hurt me.' her light grey eyes enlarged slightly, it was such an idiotic question but Meredia had felt the need to ask it.

"Because I don't want to hurt people." Richard frowns, biting his lip lightly. "Jim... he's the one who does that sort of thing... I don't want to."

'Does Jim bother you with his... actions?' she had a similar relationship with Amaya, the girl took justice upon herself if she really needed to.

"A little bit, but he usually has a reason behind them. I could never hate him, ever. He hasn't tried to get rid of me, after all; I'd be too weak to stop him if he tried."

"Of course he does. He would never openly admit it, but he does." Richard smiles sheepishly. "We're each other's family. It's just convenient for him that we share a body; nobody could use me against him, because if something like that happened he'd just take control to protect me."

"Yes, we're still the same person... it's just the two sides of us have grown, in a way."

His eyes remain wide and open, the deer-in-the-headlights look back. Jim chuckles softly in the back of his mind, but Rich ignores him.

Jim allows Richard a few seconds to smile brightly, but then he takes over again. He glances at Richard's choice of clothing with a grimace, before quickly disappearing after Meredia to change into his preferred suit.
