'What?' Meredia paused, mouth dropping aghast. No way...

'She doesn't need your offer.' Bryn replied coldly, placing a hand on Amaya's shoulder and guiding her palms to her pockets.

Amaya threw her knives again at Crouch, not hesitating now he was distracted.

The knife planted into the ground, deterred by the intricate shield Mer had spent the time setting up. 'People have hearts, and separate indentities, we are not possessed by anyone.' Bryn responded calmly, interlinking his arms between his two sisters in a symbol of unity.

The sword, shield and the balance, fighting together. Family.

'We will never be controlled by you, we pity you in fact.'

Eugene: Staring down Death for several moments, it was time for the battle to begin, "EXPELLARMUS!!"

Crouch: "Don't."

"PITY ME!!"

Any vague resemblance of sanity was cast to the winds. No more restraint, no more games! They had to die and so they would!!!

Placing my wand atop my hand I allow the redwood to meld with my entire body. Flesh becomes stiff but lost no agility, my power had now reached tenfold. With a vertical slash of my wand-encoded arm the gust reached new dangerous velocity and it made me soar into the air like a disgarded paper in a tornado but more graceful.

All my body radiated with the flames enviable by hell itself. Building it up would take time but I had to do this.

'Fucking idiot!' Amaya shouted over the flames, chewing on her lip nervously. 'GET OUT OF HERE!' she began shoving Meredia away first, but the little girl began forming her shields.

'Put power into me.' the gryffindor was taking charge, clamping on to her sibling's hands and forcing them to channel their energy into her.

Bryn started coughing, nose trickling aimlessly with blood, but their shield was strengthening. They had a small chance of surviving this...

Every iota of my magic and fibers of being went into this. I hated Bryn on an equal plane as my father and the Ministry. This damn worthless family would not be my undoing!!

Sydnay had crept into their shield too, contributing every ounce of her will that she could. The siblings seemed to share the same wavelength in this moment, clockwork against a firestorm.

I told you I wouldn't let you down.

I knew you'd come back Sydnay, I love you. We always did.

That was Bryn's only response. He could feel himself cracking, his very core was being split apart by his increasing need of energy. Crouch had pushed himself to his limit, so Bryn had to as well. Tapping into the pool of energy he kept close to his heart, the shield around them grew, an invisible iron fortress.

Meredia thrust her hands out, feeling heat lick at her fingertips, it was weakening, too draining for her...

Soundlessly, she collapsed.
