She watched Chimmy transform and was in awe momentarily, but Topher needed help she pointed her wand at the giant squid thankful for nonverbal spells. She cast a glacial spell toward the tentacle that held Topher making sure not to hit him.

While the squid was distracted by Joachim, the glacius spell froze a good part of the tentacle. This caused the massive creature to relinquish it's hold on Topher who promptly swims to the surface.

She swam out of the squids reach, but kept her eyes on Chimmy making sure he started for the surface.

I swim up and help get Topher make to shore.

Her lungs were burning by this point but as she saw Chimmy head topside she followed as quickly as possible.
