'Speaking of the case, i have some information that might help you.' Bryn admitted, carefully stepping over to the pair and taking a seat. Ace merely nodded and squeezed Eagle's shoulder, listening as she got more engrossed in her chess practice.

He looks up, blinking wearily. Even Eagle's tired, but he won't admit it to even himself. "Hello, Brynmor. Any help would be wonderful."

'You look exhausted.' Bryn commented idly, noticing Ace's face develop a scowl at the words. Eagle was such a hypocrite...

'Anyway, I had a vision the other day, about Sydnay.'

"I am," he sighs. He takes hold of Ace's hand, entwining their fingers. "What did you see?"

Her scowl faltered, but it didn't completely eradicate. He wasn't getting away with this one.

'I believe she killed the girl in the forest, not Red.' he spoke plainly and calmly, trying to detach emotion from his words. Although it was silly, he hated betraying his sister.

"She did...?" Eagle frowns. "It's something to go on... but I'll need solid evidence... Thank you though, Brynmor. This must be difficult for you."

'It IS solid, i'm a seer.' Brynmor stated with a slight hint of irritation.

'Yes, why wouldn't i be?' Ace didn't catch the expression on his face, clearly entailing he wasn't without letting his sister know. She had an idea, but she hadn't put the pieces together yet..

'It's because you're my friend is why i'm telling you. Also, someone has been falsely accused, i treat all life as equal, it wouldn't be fair to let Sydnay get away with it..' he hesitated, frowning.

'My intentions were that if i told you, i could somehow limit any punishment for Sydnay..'

Eagle waits a moment before replying, thinking. "I'll try to make it as lenient as possible... but I can't promise anything. At the end of the day, I'm only a detective."

'That's not good enough.' he became cold and rigid with his response, scowling slightly.

"I follow the law, Brynmor. If you want me to, I'm willing to overlook it, since the Desouzas family is also my family. But if you want me to follow the law, like I should, then I can only ask so much."

'Overlook it! The Ministry would anyway, and since they're the law around here you should follow them!' he practically snarled, confused by his own reactions.

Ace gazed at him for a moment, wordless, almost frightened.

He doesn't even blink at Bryn's outburst. Instead, Eagle bites his thumbnail, frowning. "Brynmor Desouza, I suggest you calm down."

Perhaps it is the illness he told me about? Maybe it's making him irritable... It probably would even for me.

'But it's true, they're all corrupt, everything's tainted!' he hissed, before exhaling, shaking his head gently.
What am i doing?

'You might be correct, but it doesn't apply to us Bryn.' Ace spoke gently, her hold tightening on Eagle's hand, clearly worried.

Cynder held the Ohmu in her arms, sitting at the Slytherin table, still looking quite green from the hangover that whole bottle of Vodka had given her.

Perhaps if she saw Pomfry, she could tell her what to take...

Cynder froze, bolting upright and pulling the clicking Ohmu into her arms, to hide it from Crouch.

She turned her head and gazed at him for a moment before nodding slightly.

"I am. What are you getting at, mm?"

Cynder crossed her legs and turned her face away, a slightly concerned look on her face.

"... can't be too cautious these days... especially, what, with you trying to kidnap my boyfriend..."

She shot him an angry stare, and a few angry clicks sounded from the Ohmu in her arms. the insect sensing her unsettled mood.

A smug wrinkle of the nose, Cynder sighed.
