"Naturally. Doesn't surprise me." I go to one of the cages in the classroom to check on one of the animals, which suffered a nasty failure of a transfiguration from a first year earlier on in the day. "In fact, I'd be surprised if she wasn't like that."

Just outside the classroom, a DE child was pestering a muggle born.

DE child: "Know how my mum dealt with your kind?" I pull out my wand.

Hearing that, I turn to the door. I decide to simply monitor the situation for the moment.

I leap out of the door to grab the child's arm, not too roughly but not gently either. "What do you think you're doing?" I growl. "Using an Unforgivable?"

DE Child: "What? My mum told me they used them all the time!"

Artemis: I run out and take the muggle born comfortingly, "USED TO. Key word. That isn't going on anymore!"

Muggleborn: "Thank you Professor Flame, Professor Strayer!"

OOC: Phoenix and Artemis - Best kinds of teachers. The ones who are awesome when you're nice, but if you're an ass they don't let it pass.
