OOC I think it was basically the same reason we felt bad for Gelus from Death Note.

"But even still, I like Uncle Eugene, but he's quite strange when I ask him questions for my Potions homework..."

Except Phoenix isn't Misa. At all.
And, if I'm gonna analyse this all the way, Eugene's better than Light (in my opinion, you know I don't like Light).

IC: Hazel: She laughs. "Eugene's funny! What sort of stuff does he tell you?"

OOC A. True, Phoenix is cooler, B. Light is better than Eugene, C. Light is God.

"Well in his letters he usually gives me the answers I need but then he goes off on how I can add additional effects to the potion or how to make it with fewer ingredients and other such things."

Eugene: I walk inside, "Oh hello Arthur, it's been quite a while."

Hazel: She waves at Eugene. "Hey!"

"Hello Hazel, how are you?"

Hazel: "Good thanks, you?"

"Pretty good, Mungos has been quite vacant recently."

Hazel: She grins mischievously; she sees Eugene as a bit of an older brother figure so, in her eyes, that gives her the right to tease him and Phoenix. "So you'll have been bothering Nix, then?"

Phoenix: "Hazel, don't you start," I call into the living room from the stairs, chuckling. "And if you want to be inconspicuous, you should try to keep your voice quieter."

I chuckle a bit, "It's okay Birdie... I was just about to discuss the new theory I had for curing.." I begin my usual drolls.

Phoenix: I roll my eyes and simply cover his mouth with my hand, grinning almost like Hazel had earlier. "Yes, dear."

Pixie: I trail in behind her, well, more strut, really. That was always more my style. "Be thankful she didn't use her usual method of shutting him up, kiddies."

Hazel: She laughs childishly.

I look completely confused by all of this, The Flames truly were odd bunch, but they were good people.

Hazel: Still giggling, she says, "Don't worry, Arthur."

"Ooo..kay. Nice to see you Aunt Pixie, Aunt Phoenix." I bow to them like they were my superiors.

Phoenix: I wave my hand. "Honestly, Arthur, you're so formal, sometimes. It's ridiculous. We're only your relatives."

Hazel: "Professor, in school hours..."

Phoenix: "But still a relative."

"I can't help it, It's how I was brought up."

Phoenix: I sigh. "No getting through to you Strayers..."

"Mom thinks it's Uncle Crest's fault."

Pixie: "Probably is."
