Cynder grinned happily, her heart welling up so joyfully, it felt like it might burst.

"I'm sorry for doubting that I would be accepted here. Father Castulus is really an amazing man... I can't imagine how wonderful it would be to grow up here."

-I smile at her, never seeing her more happy. I wrap my arm around her.-

"It's fine, many are skeptical in our ways. They're entitled to their opinons the way I figure it."

"Everyone is," Cynder agreed slightly, sighing and nodding quietly.
She hugged Matthew and let out an anxious laugh.
"But whatever they think, it doesn't matter. It's what we believe, right..?"

-I laugh the same way.- "Oh definitely..."

A pause, Cynder's expression turned thoughtful, confused.

"What is baptism like, then..? I know it includes water, but... I've not been raised in the way of belief, so... I'm a bit... foggy on all of this.."

"Well I'm sure Father can explain it better than me, but in essence it's like... giving you a clean slate. Purges you of all sin."

"Cleansing your soul in the sight of god."

Cynder perked up.
A clean slate.. in the eyes of God...

The girl's eyes went bright, again excited, though nervous.

"... I see... thank you, Matthew.. I'm excited for this.."

"You're welcome angel!" -I smile and kiss her cheek.-

Cynder smiled happily and kissed Matthew back, on the lips, murmuring softly.

"I love you, Matt.."

"I love you too Cynder, always did..." -I smile at her.-

A small smile, Cynder looked at Matthew with thankfulness and a soft, kind expression.

"I'm sorry for making you wait before. When you first asked me. I was confused... but.. I'm glad I made up my mind."

"It's fine really, sometimes the heart is difficult to interpret..." -I hug her reassuringly and look into her eyes happily.-

Cynder smiled and nodded, looking back at Matthew kindly, her warm brown eyes gentle.

"It can be. But I guess after years of confusion, you get used to it..."

"My heart has only be sure of two things, my faith and you."

Cynder chuckled happily and grinned gladly.

"And my heart will be sure of the same faith, and knowing you'll always be here for me... yes... No more confusion."

Another chuckle and a happy look, she smiled.
"I bet this place throws splendid weddings.."

-I look at her surprised but then smile brightly.-

"They're incredibly beautiful events here..."

A grin, the girl didn't seem to care about bringing weddings up, or how it might sound.
She was just excited to be here.

"I bet. Do they have big bells that go off here?"

"Right up there!" -I point upward excitedly.- "I love hearing them go off!"

An excited look crossed over Cynder's face and she looked up.

"Oh how magnificent! And- just because I'm going off of what I've ever imagined of this place- are there choirs...?"

"oh yes! You'll get the chance to meet them when you're baptized!"

Cynder grinned, his face bright and excited.

"How amazing! This place really does have everything then..."

"I wouldn't say that, but we have enough!" -I smile as I modestly speak.-

"Especially now that you're here!"

Cynder's face went red, but she continued to grin.

"I would have to disagree. I'm just a newcomer here, but this place... it's like a jewel here. Just here, sticking out in the world, unique and full of wonder and... newness.."

"Well thank you..."

"I am happy you're enjoy yourself here! I can tell you'll fit in nicely here, respecially with your genuinely good heart."
