I sat near him, watching him with steady eyes. 'Help him.' I order the healers. 'Then, all of you, including you, Auror, go.'

The healers looked at her, "Miss, there's NOTHING physically wrong with him. It's all in his head..."

'Then just go.' I narrow my eyes. 'And dim the lights. after the darkness of askaban, lights will hurt his eyes.'

Morrose stayed behind but everyone else left. But they obeyed her request and shut off the lights.

However that didn't stop Derelict's screams.

'Shut up!' I shout over his screams. 'Listen to me. Then you can carry on screaming.'

Derelict looked up at her with tortured, downtrodden eyes that saw more woe than anyone else.

'Morrose, I would like you to leave, please. Just stand outside the door.' No way in hell was i going to say anything about my life in front of him.

Morrose, ever one to plan a move ahead, left a small unnoticeable listening pin inside the room, "I'll be right outside when you need me." He gracefully took his leave.

'Ive seen more than you could ever guess.' I start quietly. 'Ive done my fair share of torture and killing...I killed my own father, and there have been a few time that i have tried to hurt my brother...I've used unforgivables, and i have done many things in my life that i regret. There have been times that all i have wanted to do is die...there has been a time i tried that.' I shake my head. 'It dodnt work, as you can see.'

'I Found a perpose. I found something to live for...' I shake my head. 'Life seems bleak, gorrible, empty now...but it wont always be. I found hope that something could happen, and that kept e alive.'

"W..what did you... find.. hope in.?"

'I found hope in myself...hope in change...'

"But there is no hope for Derelict, no change. Weasel I am, worthless."
