I close my eyes and imagine Crouch Senior dying, it brings me such comfort.

I sigh, sitting up. 'Crouch?'

"Oh sorry... anyway, when can you get out?"

I shrug. 'When Pomfrey thinks im sane? or safe, at least. but thats not what i was going to say...' I look away from him. 'Why do you care, i mean, you could have just left me....killed me when i wasnt here. Why come back?'

"Some things are best said not around prying ears."

I sigh. 'Promise me you will answer though?'

"..................yes..............."

I smile. 'Good. Go and get Pomfrey then, see if i can leave.'

I yell over, "Woman, get in here at once!" I demand.

Pomfrey sticks her head out the door, seeing River sat up. She walked over to them. 'Did I not say the right words would wake her, Mr crouch?'

"Keep it up woman," I say steaming, "I could send you more patience then you could handle."

The lady doesnt even blink at it. 'Mr Crouch, i have had far worse than you in my Hospital wing, nothing you say bothers me.' She turned to River. 'How are you feeling?'
River smiled. 'Fine. i think. am i allowed to go?'
Pomfrey checked her over carefully. 'Yes. Although be careful. and eat something. and come back here if you feel...bad again.'

I grumble under my breath about being able to kill everyone in here and not even breaking a sweat but I keep it quiet.

Pomfrey ignored Crouch, watching off and checking on other students.
River jumped off the bed and looked at crouch. 'Where to? Wheres quiet in the school?'

"ummm considering I'm usually the one causing the noise, you'll have to pick."

'Forest then.' I say, walking out of the door, looking back to make sure hes following.

I follow behind her.

Sally: I'm helping a student in the Hospital Wing, smiling, humming a happy tune.

Sarah: I walk in, my eyes red and puffy from crying hard. Normally I don't cry like this, but what I said to my sister... To her and the one she loves...

Sally: I see Sarah and I immediately stop whistling, going into a worried-mother mode. I walk up to her, "Sarah, dear, what happened?" I embrace her in my arms, hugging her tightly.

Sarah: "Sam... She..." I tell her the whole story of what happened with Crest and Sam, and what happened in the Shrieking Shack, balling my eyes out, pouring out my every thought about it. "I just left them... It hurt me, mom... That Sam couldn't trust me with it... After Sam left with Crest at his 'betrayal', I felt so hurt... I... I continued talking with Crouch, and I felt so... So angry... And then I find out that it was all a lie, and it just... It just hurts..."

Sally: I run my hand through her hair, hugging her again. "It's all right, sweet heart. You and me both know Sam... She doesn't want to hurt anyone, especially her sister. You said she promised Crest that she wouldn't tell, didn't you?"

Sarah: "... Yes..."

Sally: "She was keeping a promise, Sarah, for the one she loves dearly. That's something very honorable of her to do. I'm sure she would've told you if she wasn't bound to her promise."

Sarah: My sobbing calms a little as my mom's words sink in. I guess she's right... "Yeah, I guess so..." But it still hurts...

Sally: "I know it's hard, sweety. But the first step out of the hurt is to learn how to forgive."

Sarah: "... Is that how you've managed to stay with dad all this time?"

Sally: I nod, "I know he's insane and makes some bad choices... But deep down, he's just lonely and scared and just wants to be loved. He's actually very sweet, once you get past all the madness." I smile.

Sarah: "... Wow..."

Sally: "Besides, he gave me two beautiful and wonderful daughters." I kiss her on top of her head.

Sarah: I smile, feeling much better than before. "Thanks mom..." I walk out of the Hospital Wing.

I take Phoenix and Pixie up and put her into a bed, examining the wound,

"Well you need not worry, you're not going to become a vampire."

Phoenix: I chuckle a little. "That'd be kind of annoying. It'd suck to be a hybrid."

Pixie: I perch on a chair nearby, but give them a bit of space. I study the cup, frowning in thought. We'll need to keep this safe... it'd probably be best to put it back in the tomb...

Eugene: "yes, but luckily you missed one vital part of the transformation. You have to be dying and clearly, you aren't. However that wound is quite substantial." I start getting out the supplies needed to heal it.

Voice: "Ultimate power, ultimate victory Pixie Flame. Just drink from it..."

Phoenix: "If Crouch had had his way, I wouldn't have made it that far. I'd just be dead dead."

Pixie: Shut up! I growl in my head.

Eugene: "Well he's no longer going to cause us trouble so long as we keep his power safe or destroy it."

Phoenix: "Thank Merlin. Speaking of... any ideas where we can keep it?"

Pixie: Still looking a little irritated, I glance over long enough to say, "The tomb?"
