He closed his eyes and took a breath to calm his rising temper. "River..." He opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling. "Everything is alright."

I look at his steadly. 'I trust you even though you have the dark mark on your arm.' I look away from him. 'I dont want you to hate me.'

Death looked down at his Dark Mark briefly, the snake slithering silently across his wrist. "I don't thunk I could hate you River."

He tried to surpress the laugh building in his chest. However, he couldn't surpress the smile. "Change Crouch? Do you honestly think you can change Crouch? Honest to God, River, I'm not trying to be mean or rude, but I don't think he will change, ever."

People had learnt to recognize when Amaya wasn't in a good mood. A deep scowl had etched itself into her expression, making her usual passiveness and sarcastic glares seem tame.

'Stupid piece of crap...making me look like an idiot...man whore...' which each word she hurled a knife into the wall, sending people diving out of the way even though she'd never hit them. They formed an X on the stone, making her smirk.

'Well screw you Topher, i'll show you who's talentless.' Her lip had curled sourly, she was probably being entirely unreasonable but she didn't care.
