The Cemetery

Bryn could feel a stange, foreign power coursing through his veins, fingers twitching as he dived out of the way. 'This isn't the time for fighting..' He shot a stupefy at Crouch, putting a hefty force behind it.

Amaya got over her immediate shock, still bent down beside Joachim and watching the battle ensue. She also fired a stunning curse, but remained unmoving. Crouch really fucked up his spell..

Perhaps it was the shock of my once-defeated foe risen again, but more likely it was the spells, but in either case I find myself stiffened unnaturally.

Joachim: "lets get the hell outta here..."

Amaya never paused, scooping Joachim into her arms and hoping he wouldn't protest. 'Yeah, you need your wounds tended to.' her tone was gentle, full of care and devoid of its usual sarcasm. She apparated with him immediately.

Bryn blinked, adopting an even more rational tone than the one he used to have before he died. His words were slick with logic. 'Another time my friend.' he repeated, following Amaya's leave and disapparating.

He took the opportunity to disapparate as well.

ooc so Crouch is stunned? want Amy to bring him back to their estate?

she grabbed onto Crouch disapparating them to their home with a vicious crack as they left.

ooc I knew i was near the date! Its meant to be tomorrow, but im in the mood to write now.

Another year. another passing. even more had changed from last year, but still, the ever present thoughts in my head made me come here.
back to my other family, the person i was before this all happened.
'Hey.' I say softly, sitting on the grass by the Seths grave. 'Time passes quicky, you know. i still remember last year...' I trail off, a small, sad smile on my face. 'My family is bigger than ever, you know, but it still doesnt change anything. i still have your blood on my hands, ive lost so much.'
I sigh, my eyes burning with the tears i knew wouldnt fall.
'You must be mortified. If you could see me now, what i have become. like father, like daughter, like sister, like brother. Im just...evil. but i dont want to be.'
I twirl the black rose round my finger while talking to the ground.
'I love my brother, dont get me wrong. i love my husband. it actually hurts me that i so...me. All death wants is for me to be happy, but i cant because im fighting against my friends on both side, and i can tell it upsets him. I want to go back to what i once was, able to love people on both sides of this war. I want to love my family and love my friends. but artemis hates me...everyone does.'
I bury my head in my hands.
'I hate myself. I want to be River Seth again, the nieve girl who thought she could change the world. i dont know what to do...'

Visiting my dads grave, I try to smile at it, "hey pops... Here's what ya missed. Potion and me are hitched, crouch is quote on quote born again." I slap my knee and laugh a bit, "I know right? Can ya believe it?"

"Lets see what else..." I try to think of more to talk to him about.

Okay so cemetery's were not my first choice for a place to contemplate things but it seem to fit for me this time. I say slumped against a headstone watching fire lick my fingers.
"I hate everything..." I mutter

"Join the club..."

Oh great, someone else who needs a better attitude about things
"I'm already a member." I lazily blew fire from my lips
"And who are you?"

"I'm someone you don't want to get on the bad side of..." The bald boy scowled as he looked over at her. "The hell brings you here?"

"My life." I say bluntly "I'm a pyro, I can't exactly live like an average person. Besides" I gesture to the cemetery "it's fitting for someone LIKE ME to be around dead things."

"I just came here to kick some Death Eater's graves. They don't deserve to rest in peace."

I shrug
"Okay, I don't care." A single tear streaks my cheek and my arms slowly are engulfed in flame.

As I go to swing a kick, I notice her balling up, "What's your problem?" I ask bluntly.

I don't cry or ball, I just give him cold stare
"Why're you asking? Not like you give a damn."

"I know, I was about to ask you to shut up, it's irritating..."

As much as I liked to burn him I remember my promise and sighed irritably
"YOUR the one whose irritating with your lack of fucking sympathy."

"Oh get over yourself..."

"You get over your attitude."
The fire around my arms turns blue
"Or this will hurt."

The bald boy scowls deeply and draws his wands, "You one of them?!"

I just stare coldly
"Am I a what? A death eater? Get real, I'm not magical either."

Just as quickly as the wands were drawn, they were put away. "Then get out of my sight, I have no business with you."
