'Don't worry about me, I've been bad, that's all i know.' she admitted, feeling her heart clench with the words. Her head was desperately trying to suppress it though. Ace's fingers trailed small circles into his back, distracted.

'Neither do i..' she continued her motions, eyes flickering to the side, spotting the small panda plushie she'd picked out only hours earlier. 'I can't remember how i got that either, nothing makes sense anymore.'

Concentration crossed her expression, trying to sift through all the blurred moments, but they all seemed merged together in one massive mess of pain.

'My family...dead..' Ace began to tremble, it was like someone had renewed the grief all over again.

He holds her against his side tighter and kisses the top of her head. "Yes... But not all of them."

He's safe.. I'm safe with him. Her very thought proccess had been fragmented. 'I can't remember their faces, what did i do?' she knew somehow that he didn't have the answer, but she still asked.

'Meredia..' she turned the name over in her mind, it was triggering memories. 'Little sister.' Ace smiled fondly, her heart actually warmed at the girl's name.

She glanced at him again, pulling her head back to study him. 'You feel right, Eagle.'

With this revelation her face scrunched up again, but she nodded. Her eyes revealed a blissful ignorance, she really had shut some of her mind off. 'So it's okay if i do this?'

she broke away briefly, happiness lighting her generally confused expression. 'I guess it is okay then.' one of her hands sifted through his hair, fascinated by the feel of it, so new yet familiar at the same time..
