True enough the version in front of them faded into thin air and from behind, Auror Smith had his wand firmly planted in Crouch's spine, ready to dilever the death blow.

Crouch starts to yell out like a wounded animal.

Lukas reacted quickly, duplicating himself and throwing fire at smith.

The man in front of him stands perfectly motionless and then crumbles to dust. Once more Smith was behing Lukas. That was the drawback of this power. I could escape death in a moment but my movements would become increasingly predictable. I reached forward to push him into Crouch, hopefully igniting the later on fire.

Lukas disintegrated, reappearing beside smith. 'quit while you're ahead, you can't beat a master of illusion.'

"Perhaps so Mr. Moroskav, but you were not my intended target, he was."

I bend over to Crouch and whisper into his ear, "You know, some of my friends are going to apprehend Mr. Trujillo assuming all goes well. I merely wished to tell you that."

I stand back up and look at Lukas. "I'm afraid I can't let this damage go unchecked. So I might as well fight you."
