He chuckles. "You're smarter than you look, I'll give you that. But what makes you sure I don't have others in the castle?"

"Easy, if you did, I would've known about them..."

He raises an eyebrow. "And how would you do that?"

I laugh in his face without a hint of respect, "You mean how do I know that Artisan Strayer, aka Gabe Strayer, has recently turned into a pseudo vampire? Or how Pixie Flame hurt her leg and is actually part Strayer as well?"

"Or other more obscure matters like her relations with Lukas Moroslav? Or while we're at it how YOU know your current minions fiance? Saphire, I believe it was."

"Would you believe lucky guesses?"

He can't help smiling. "Oh, you are clever... Very clever indeed. But not up to Sherlock's standard. You're still ordinary. Tell me, why did you make it your business to know things trivial things?"

"In a riddle, the subtle details are often the most important. They help you understand the parts of the whole."

"But of course, anything to do with comprehension I'm certain astounds you so I won't bother explaining it."

"Of course I know how a bloody riddle works, don't treat me like an idiot," Jim suddenly snarls, dark eyes flashing.

Ignoring Jim completely, Rich lets his comfort flow across the bond, even if it won't do much to calm Jim.

I smirk at him triumphantly and derisively, "Stop BEING one and I shall be the first to stop."

Jim turns his nose up, snorting and straightening Richard's clothing of choice. Ugh. Baggy t-shirts. Really, Richard?

They're more comfortable than suits.

"You're just annoyed because I use different methods to you, Query."

"Wrong-o. I'm annoyed because you're an inferior mind acting like a beter way, in my eyes the same as Eagle. But of course, Eagle far trumps you."

He laughs lightly. "Please. We both know that I'm far superior to you both. Or, at least, I do. You don't seem to recognise that. A more successful person is perfectly capable of drawing out his enemy without the use of bait... because that enemy is willing to play the game."

Using the handle end of my cane I pull Jim in by the neck, "Listen you moron! Not you, or Eagle, or your petty little SUBPAR detective can measure up to MY GENIUS!!"

Jim laughs in his face, a sort of delighted glint in his eye. Oh, this is interesting.

"Mmm, I bet I can, dear~" he sings.

"YOU CAN'T! No one can! I've fooled the police, the Ministry, and Dumbledore!!!"

"Oh, really?" Jim knows better than to ask him outright, so instead he lowers his voice to a whisper and moves closer to Query, until his mouth is at the other man's ear.

"I don't believe your stories, Sir Boast-a-lot..."

"Riddle me this, Jimmy! How does a family of three get into a car crash and only the most brilliant of them all get out of it without a scrape or a legal charge?!"

"Speak plainly, please. I might get it, but Richard doesn't. It's awfully annoying having someone twittering away in the back of your head."

My rage seems to cull over and I look at him amused now, "Ahhahaha... "

He frowns, looking suspicious. "What?"
