Knockturn Alley

Knockturn Alley is a shopping area off Diagon Alley in London. It is filled with shops devoted to the Dark Arts, including Borgin and Burkes, which specialises in objects that have curious and strong magical properties. Usually, unusual and dangerous people walk around there. When Tom Riddle left Hogwarts he worked at Borgin and Burkes.

Harry Potter first entered Knockturn Alley in 1992. He ended up inside Borgin and Burkes when he didn't say "Diagon Alley" clearly enough when trying to travel there by Floo powder from the Burrow. He ran into Rubeus Hagrid outside the shop. Hagrid, who was getting Flesh-Eating Slug Repellent in Knockturn Alley, told Harry that he shouldn't be hanging around in such a "dodgy place".[1]
Harry's next visit to the alley was in 1996, when he, Ron, and Hermione followed Draco Malfoy, suspecting him of being a Death Eater. Draco let several Death Eaters into Hogwarts through a Vanishing Cabinet in Borgin and Burkes at the end of the 1996–1997 school year.

From the shops, one can purchase many types of dark objects, which include poisonous candles, shrunken heads, giant spiders, human-looking fingernails, and Flesh-Eating Slug Repellent. Because of its contents, Arthur and Molly Weasley prohibited their children from entering Knockturn Alley.

Access
As with Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley is not directly accessible from the Muggle world. The Leaky Cauldron pub provides one access (via Diagon Alley), while Apparition and Floo powder are other access options. There may be other entrances. In addition, as noted above, a vanishing cabinet located within one of the shops provided direct access to Hogwarts.
Etymology
The name "Knockturn Alley" is a play on "nocturnally", just as "Diagon Alley" is a play on "diagonally". "Nocturnally" has to do with the night and darkness, hinting at its dark nature.

-Looks around for Greyback, Amy close behind him along with a Hufflepuff girl, Jane, I imperiused- -scoffs- Yeah sure meet him in Knockturn Alley, but seems to have forgotten to specify exactly WHERE in the Knockturn Valley!

Takes his hand threading our fingers together "that's Greyback for you, not always the brightest..."

-Whispers to Amy on the off chance Greyback was near by- If I become as stupid as him as a result of this, do me a favor and send a blasting curse between my eyes

giggles "I don't think that will happen love, but I'll try to remember that" winks at him and looks down a dark alley expecting the lycan to be lurking there.

A grunt comes from a dark corner.

A hunched figure walks closer, breathing deeply, eyes bloodshot. The fur covered his whole body, his muzzle twisted into a menacing snarl.

Greyback lunged forward to pin Crouch against a wall, sniffing his up and down. Satisfied, he howled up at the sky and let him drop to the floor, turning to face Amy.

-brushes himself off- Took you long enough... now do it -lying- Obey the Dark Lord's order

lets out a soft growl "Greyback... "

Greyback snarls at Amy, but stands back. He stares down at the creature they'd brought, cocking his head curiously, eyes widening in anticipation. He moved forward towards the girl.

-Anger slowly growing- Greyback! Your business is with me!

Ignoring Crouch the wolf creeps forward and uses one long claw to lift the girl's chin up. It licks its lips slowly and moves forward to lick her nose.

-Angry now- I will not wait! -pulls out wand-

Greyback turns and knocks Crouch's wand out of his hand with a paw, moving his face suddenly closer to the boy. He bares his teeth and stares into Crouch's eyes.

He pushes Crouch back with a paw and puts one foot forward, growling low. When Crouch doesn't move forward again, he turns back to the girl, his growling getting quieter and deeper.

-For reasons of self preservation, I make no effort to get close to Greyback again-

trying to keep calm looks at Greyback "you know the sooner you do what you have to, the sooner we'll leave you to your new toy.."

Greyback's ears prick up in interest at Amy's voice. He turns to Crouch and lunges at him.

He pushes him to the ground, his eyes dancing wildly, and gnaws down hard on his right arm.

-Screams in pain beyond anything he'd ever faced before, his vocal chords themselves straining with each second-

Greyback keeps on biting hard, licking every drop of blood he can. He pulls away briefly to howl then bites down again, finding it difficult to stop.

A loud growl rips through Amy "Greyback!!! that's enough!" doesnt want to pull him off for fear of causing her love more pain.

-tries in vain to get the werewolf off of him, blood gushing down his arm, screaming in even more agony-

Greyback pulls away reluctantly, looking up at the sky and seeing dawn breaking. He yelps as his spine cracks back into place, his fur fading back into skin, his jaws forming a more human shape, lips still lathered in blood.

He stands up and cracks his neck, grinning. He turns around to faec Amy.

"Ah Amythyst Dolohov dear. How nice to see your beautiful face." Says a now human Greyback, stripped of clothing, yet still hairy. He holds out his hands at Amy as of offering a hug, grinning madly at the girl next to her.

Shakes her head shakes his hand quickly, reaches into her bag and hands him some robes she had brought just in case "here.. at least be some what decent" she says quickly and then rushes to Crouch's side kneeling down next to him looking over his wound worried. "love... are you ok.."

-grabs his arm, breathing heavily, his "Wand Hand" was almost a joy next to this... but he had done it... he had gotten more power... he was now a full fledged werewolf... that hidden strength that Phoenix was now his... and while he had no need for revenge against Phoenix anymore... what was life without whimsy?-

He laughs slowly to himself, pitying the lovestruck fools. It was just hormones, and they wouldn't understand. Not like he understood. He looked at the robes and casually flung it over his shoulder.

He stepped forward and kneeled in front of the girl. "Hello beautiful. And what's your name?"

-Seems to be regulating breathing- Yes sweetie... I think I will be fine....
