IC: Jim blinked once, and then his lips spread into a smile. He batted his eyelids almost innocently. Almost. "Whatever gave you that impression?"

He knew exactly what he'd done to 'give Brogan that impression', but he was bored, and he wanted to toy with him.

Not playing any games, I throw Jim toward Lethe. "You sound like one of them..."

She steps out of the way quickly. 'And you sound like one of them.'

He caught his balance easily, but had to remove his hands from his pockets to do so. The slightest frown on his features, Jim swung back around to face Brogan, his smile slipping from his features now.

This was the stare that demanded information. Whether it was given willingly or taken by force, Jim wouldn't rest until he had it.

Even if it was just a simple curiosity, he wanted to know. He had to know.

Perhaps he could play on it to beat Sherlock.

"Explain," was all he said.

"Death Eaters, you look and sound just like one of them, and I put them in the ground! Them and anyone with them."

'hes very judgemental.' She says to Jim, acting as if Brogan wasnt there.

"I can see that," Jim commented.

But with Brogan's comment, his patience snapped. There was a faint warning from Richard in the back of his mind, but he brushed the weaker consciousness aside as easily as if Rich was a kitten and he was a tiger.

In a few smooth strides, Jim invaded Brogan's personal space. He spoke softly, but firmly.

"I - am - not - one - of - them." He took a small step back, but only so he could tug up the sleeves of his suit to reveal his bare forearms. "And there is your proof," he snarled.

"You're a lucky man then..."

"She's not.." I point to Lethe and look over at her, "You really should've been smarter with your friends..."

'You think they are my friends?' She snorts. 'Fool.'

Still seething, Jim moved back to his own spot and rebuttoned his cuffs. He kept his gaze fixed on the white shirt beneath the grey jacket as he forced himself to control his anger.

He'd once told Sherlock that his only weakness was the fact that he was - to quote himself - 'so changeable!' Perhaps it was really his temper. Or maybe that was a product of his unpredictability.

"Few Death Eaters join out of true loyalty," he said slowly, finally looking up again, his expression carefully controlled.

"No more foolish than you!"

"It doesn't matter, reasons don't matter."

'Reasons do matter.' He blue eyes flashed with anger, but she smiled, showing them her own arm. 'One. I have no dark mark, i am not truly one of them. They believe me to be a supporter. You know what? Because My magic is so weak, I need them to not hate me. Its called protecting myself.'

Jim pointed a finger at her, still looking at Brogan. "Clever. Very clever. Working into the enemy's ranks for self-preservation... And what do you do, hmm?" He cocked his head to the side. "How do you tackle the Death Eaters?"

I take out one of my wands and slide it across my throat.

Lethe rolls her eyes. 'You kill one and two more appear. you realise your way of dealing will never work, dont you?'

"The girl's right." Jim let his hand fall back to his side and he shrugged. "It's too hasty, too forward. The Death Eaters are subtle. You need to be more so to beat them."

"What are you offering?"

'id offer you a new brain if i had one.'

And there it was.

The corners of JIm's lips curled upwards.

"Assistance with whatever you may need, in return for a favour."

"Shut up!" I shout at Lethe.

"And what makes you think a pansy like you has anything to offer me?"

She laughs, miming zipping her lips shut

Jim laughed. "I've been called many things, but pansy has not been among them."

He turned his back, deciding to wander about the courtyard. "If you knew who I was, you might be interested," he added in a singsong voice.
