'Nothing.' she responded automatically, rolling her shoulders in a shrug.

"Just tell me!" He demanded, his fuse being actually existent and obvious for a change.

'Eagles missing. he's gone, and I'm lost without him.' She cried out, burying her face in her hands and cracking almost instantly. It was then that she realised she needed him,

"Eagles missing?" Crest had noticed he wasn't around much, but when one is as good at hiding as eagle is, it's pretty hard to discern missing from not.

"When did you last see him?"

She stuttered, forehead creased with worry. 'i..I don't know. Things have happened.' she paused, remaining silent.

"Name them."

The girl remained tight-lipped, simply staring at Crest with a troubled yet plain gaze. 'I can't, i just.. disappeared.'

Not particularly helpful.

"Did you try his hideouts yet?"

'I've tried everywhere i know of... and it's been futile' she admitted, drawing her breath out in a long sigh. 'He isn't anywhere, that's why i worry.'

Eagle and ace, in crest heart at least, remained like a outside family. He would never voice it aloud but ace was a surrogate sister and eagle a surrogate brother.

"Lets go find him then."

She nodded with part determination, before scanning the space again. 'I was hoping I'd find some answers here, nothing yet.'

"You're with him much more than I, who are his regular associates or enemies here?"

Her fingers continued drumming against her knee anxiously, pouring over the information in her head. 'The only enemies he had, of course, were my enemies too. The usual suspects: Crouch and the Death Eaters. He associated himself with my family and yours.' she stopped herself there, still thinking.

"Perhaps we should start by interrogating the death eaters." A firm resolve came to his face as he mentally prepared himself preemptively. It was never easy interrogating people despite how he made it look, he didn't relish their agony but if it was the only means to get valuable information he wouldn't hesitate.

'Death Eaters do not respond to interrogation well though, they are too used to practising it on other people so it has little effect on them..' she muttered, turning the thought over in her mind. 'It can't be physical.'

"What d you suggest then?"

She shoved her head in her hands again, at a loss. 'I don't know.. i don't know..'

In a rare moment of compassion, crest put a hand on her shoulder, "we're going to find him. Lets check his room, maybe he left something behind."

her small frame shuddered for a moment as she let her cool composure wash over her expression. 'Yeah.. that would be a good idea.' She didn't admit that his gesture had actually comforted her greatly as she rose to her feet.

'Lead the way good sir.'

He nodded silently and lead on to the ravenclaw common room. He was going to find his friend and protect his family.

Amy stood about Midway down the covered bridge leaning against the railing. Her cloak billowed in the crisp autumn air. Inky hair streaked with a bright aquamarine today and glacial eyes studied the blueish grey sky dotted with large pillow-like clouds. She was lost in her ever turning thoughts, quite oblivious to her surroundings. The small leather bound journal lay propped next to her arm open to a sketch of the scenery before her that she had been scratching away at moments before.

Crouch was on his way up to study for his potions exams. He doubted he needed to put so much effort into it to pass, but he had free time on his hands and hated to not do anything. Alas his creativity was at a low point so his working's in the room of requirement were a futile effort. 

He was surprised to see his confidant Amy out there with him, "Oh hello!" He greeted.

His voice startled her, snapping her wondering thoughts firmly back into reality, but a dazzling smile graced her lips as she turned realizing who the voice belonged to " well isn't this a coincidence! It's good to see you Crouch."

"Sorry if I interrupted, you looked lost in thought..." He apologized with a charming smile.

She shook her head a little " no need to apologize. I was just out here getting some fresh air to clear my head. Too much studying was making me feel too pent up. " She closed and tucked her journal into her pocket "so what brings you out here?"
