IC: "I can prove that I have her." Jim doesn't try to stop Query; he just leaves that tidbit there, dangling in front of his nose.

OOC: Mind getting Joachim to bring up Suzume as an 'innocent' hostage?

Alright Moritarty, let's see what this scheme of yours is. I better profit from it.

I bring up Suzume, for whatever reason.

IC:

Suzume has forced herself to cry; there are streams running down her cheeks and her eyes are puffy and red. Cooro is perched in the rafters over their heads, watching silently.

Jim smiles widely and gestures at her. "Here we have a witness, Query. She saw my men capture Ace."

I just roll my eyes, "How mentally insufficient do you take me for?"

He gestures towards her; Suzume cringes in obvious fear. "Look at her memories. You'll find nothing the correct ones."

OOC: Btw, Jim's changed her memories to fit what he needs.

OOC He can't look at them, he's a squib

"Or ones you orchestrated. Points for creativity though." I pinch his cheek mockingly.

OOC: Oh yeah, fair point. Forgot about that, sorry.

IC: Jim slaps his hand away, rolling his eyes. "Don't be ridiculous. I'm a spider, as Mr. Holmes so eloquently put it, but I'm honest."

"Well riddle me this, Jim..."

"What is it that Has billions of eyes, yet lives in darkness, millions of ears, but only four lobes, has no muscles but rules two hemispheres?"

"Oh and here's a hint, I have it and you don't."

He seizes Query's collar, dragging him close and shoving his face in Query's personal space.

"I don't give a damn about your riddles! Nobody does, in case you haven't noticed!" His eyes flash with anger, and he hisses, "I won't hesitate to crush Ace's mind right now if I have to. You can bet I will do that. Whether I have her in my grasp or not doesn't matter one bit - she will go mad, and there is only one thing you can do to prevent it. Jump."

Jim releases him again, stepping back, glaring with pure hatred at Query.

I smirk at him triumphantly and just laugh, "And now it is YOU who has given me information."

IC: He stiffens, his expression freezing. "What?"

"You don't have Ace, and I can only imagine these dullards are your henchmen. And I presume, most likely correctly, that if you're in jeopardy, neither of them will harm a hair on Ace's head."

"So... new game." I take my cane and put the top part behind his neck and pull him close.

"It's called, 'Can Moriarty fly?'

OOC: Ok, actually laughing now, this is too perfect

IC: He cackles, not resisting. "Oh, you are a clever one. If you weren't in my way, why, I'd like you, Query!" The grin fades, replaced by a serious stare. "You see, the thing is, I have something you don't."

One simple movement, one dive into his pocket, and Jim points his wand at Query. "Check," he whispers, smiling again.

"Come now, did you really think I'd be unprepared?"

I press a button on my cane and a blade extends from the top part of the question mark shape and closes around Moritarty's neck. "One movement, from either you or me, and the janitorial staff will have quite the mess to clean up."

His eyes actually widen in real surprise this time. This is one thing Jim didn't seem coming. But then his old blase facade returns. He smiles. "Suzume, Joachim, do me a favour and find Ace, won't you? Give her a little hello from me, you know the sort."

He grins. "Disable this, or lose your precious Ace."

"Call them off, or you lose your head, and I'm NOT speaking in riddles this time!"

OOC: -Plotting, plotting, plotting, idea!-

IC: He chuckles. "Kill me and they'll destroy her anyway, Query. My death won't stop things. The only thing that will call them off is you jumping and taking the fall for her."

He smirks. "You love her, don't you? You want to prove it, so she'll love you and not Eagle? If you really do care about her, then jump. That will prove that you love her."

OOC How in a logical universe this goes:
Query: I shrug, "Okay." Tears his head off and shocks the henchmen

"Do it. Prove that you love her. Show Eagle wrong. He didn't sacrifice himself for her, did he? But you can, Query. You can prove that you're the better man."

Jim whispers the last bit, a gleam in his eyes. "Prove it. Show him."

OOC Dammit that's good!
