Malfoy Manor

He fell to his knees and cried out in pain as the curse coursed throughout his body. He tried to keep silent and still, to take his punishment like a man. That, however, was easier said than done.

While keeping the curse on him, he walked back to his seat and looked into the fire as casually an calmly as one would having come in from a cold winter's night. Death's suffering was already an afterthought, but he didn't lower the curse by any means and why should he?

He pain was causing his muscles to spasm and he began twitching uncontrollably. He let out a few cries of pain.

He curled up on the ground and clenched every muscle in his body to keep from making a show of his pain.

You deserved this Death, now take it. He muttered things to himself inside his head, trying to forget the pain and focus on something else.

It would ruin his perception of me as a merciful lord if I continued despite how much I'd like to...

At last I let off the the curse, but don't turn to address him.

He gasped in surprise and relief when the curse was lifted. He began breathing heavily. He lifted his head to look at his Master.

He rose slowly and stood on shaky feet. Placing his hands behind his back again, he waited for his Lord to address him.

Finally a decree pierces the air, attaching itself to the world as though it were a law of the universe, "Until Hogwarts is reclaimed by you and the rest of the other failed Death Eaters, you're never to see your father."

His eyes widen slightly and he blinked. Never to see my father.... "Yes my Lord." He bowed. "I shall make sure that Hogwarts is taken back post haste."

"Then you are dismissed, send in Crouch last."

He bowed again. "Yes my Lord."

He turned and exited the room. "Crouch, you're to go in last." He looked at him, Death's face ashen from the torture and the order that his Lord had given him. "Hogwarts needs to be in out clutches soon. That's an order."

"But of course! That went without saying. What happened to you in there?"

"I had it easy. He put me through the Cruciatus Curse and held it for at least five minutes. Then he said I can't see my father again until Hogwarts is back under out control."

"Then we must get it back, but I am not surprised our lord was so merciful."

"Taking back Hogwarts is number one priority. Nothing comes first." He looked at Crouch, vengence in his eyes. "We begin our planning once you are finished with the Dark Lord."

"Of course, I understand my brother of the mark. I know now why we failed, it wasn't lack of strength as lack of unity. We were scattered, it was no wonder we were easy pickings."

"Next time we attack, we attack like a tidal wave. All of us at once. We'll overwhelm them. And we need to make sure that this stays under the rug. No one is to know about it except for trused Death Eaters." This was one mission he wasn't going to fail.

"Agreed, cowardice of a few helped ensure our defeat. But now we shall rise again, and just think of the fun I shall have once we've taken control again."

He smirked. "We've lost the fear and respect of all those at Hogwarts. That needs to change. Only our Lord was brilliant enough to realize that before us. That's why he's pushing us so hard."

"Oh of course! Such a genius, but of course he is the perfect being!"

He laughed. "We were foolish in relying on our own power."

OOC I can't help but feel bad for them. Their psych has been totally altered to believe that there is no greater being than Lord Voldemort.

"Why yes of course... I see it now! His grander purpose behind us falling was so we could rebuild ourselves anew! Stronger, more devoted, more united!"

OOC I know, Crouch particularly worships him

"He truely is a genius," he mused. "Better than Dumbledore will ever be."

"He will lead this world to it's salvation!"

"Now, we've got to do our part and help him pave the way. I'm sure he'll reward us generously when he gets to the very top." His grin was full of malice. It was a grin he hadn't used in a while and, to be honest, it felt good.

"Yes, but first the other De must come to our enlightenment and the cowards should be prosecuted."

"I shall get on that as soon as I leave here." He paused. "I will need to know all the DE so that I know who to root out and who to save. I'm afraid I've lost track of everyone."
