Kenpachi Zaraki vs Garra of the Desert

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE OUR CONTESTANTS!


In one corner, you have the feared captain of Squad 11 from the 13 court guard, KENPACHI ZARAKI!!


And in the other corner, the fifth kazekage and jinchuriki of the one tailed Shikaku, Gaara of the Desert!

A hulking man stepped into the ring. His black hair stood up in spikes with little bells attached to the end of them. An eye patch covered his right eye and an maniacal smile was on his face. He was itching to fight such a different opponent than the ones he became accustomed to crushing. 

"You don't look like much. But outward appearance has nothing to do with fighting capability..."

He didn't respond to the man's quick analysis of him. Instead, he crossed his arms across his crest and let his sand slowly creep from the gourd on his back to the ground below his feet.

If looks were anything to go by, this ma would be a challenging opponent.

"I'll give you an advantage..." He opened up his black and white robe to reveal his scarred chest, "I'll let you take the first strike...."

He stood there, face blank as a stone. To take the opportunity or not? It could be a trap. Most people wouldn't put out such an open invitation for injury.

However, Gaara was confident his sand could block anything this guy threw at him. Just so long as he wasn't faster than Rock Lee...

His sand lashed out and threw two sand kunai at the man's chest. The sand had hardened like concrete, so impact would cause serious damage, even if they didn't break skin.

Kenpachi stood there, taking the two kunai to his chest without any fear. It wouldn't be the first time he got injured to ensure a good fight and it certainly wouldn't be the last.

Rather an a yell of pain or covering his bleeding chest, instead he laughed like a madman, "That's what I'm talking about!" He sounded completely elated to have his own blood spilt. "This will be fun!"

LIke that, the bloodthirsty captain lunged toward Gaara, drawing his sword and ready to start hacking at him.

Gaara stood patiently and let the man charge at him. He could see that this man wasn't faster than Lee, so his sand would have an easy enough time keeping up with him.

He didn't go on the offense just yet, for now he'd bide his time and protect himself.

No matter how many furious slashes that Kenpachi sent at Gaara, each of them were only met with a wall of sand. 

And his enemy just stood there. Doing nothing. So that meant that his defense was automatic. No matter how many times he tried to cut him conventionally he'd only be wasting his energy.

Kenpachi hated these kind of fights. It was much more fun to hack and slash, without much thinking.

But he leapt back from his offensive. Should he remove his eye patch just yet? It was still early in the fight, but what other choice did he have if he wanted to enjoy himself?

With that decision made, he reached up to his eye patch and yanked it off, an explosion of energy rocking the arena. It was like the air itself had gotten heavy with Kenpachi's sheer spirit energy. He was now a raw destructive force of nature...

His eyes widened slightly at the sheer force of the energy this man was putting off.

Somehow, he had surpressed it all under the eyepatch. Gaara squared his shoulders and prepared for a real battle now.

He raised his hand and his sand followed suit, forming a wall between him and his opponent.

Kenpachi lunged once more, but this time with newfound power and strength! He cut into the sand, putting all his raw might behind his slash.

He knew his greatest opponent wasn't the man, but the defense he had to penetrate. If he could get through the defenses, he would be easy prey.

Gaara reacted quickly when he saw Kenpachi breaking through the barrier. "Sand coffin!"

His sand responded quickly and began to wrap itself around his opponent, encasing him in sand.

With the sand surrounding him, Kenpachi tried to fight his way out but found the sheer pressure to be too much for him to break through.

He tried to burst out his spirit energy more in an attempt to get the sand off him.

Sensing the struggling man through his sand, he forced it to tighten its hold. Once sand fully covered his opponent, he raised his fist.

He closed his fist and said, "Sand burial!"

At least I died fighting...

Sand and blood rained from the sky, any semblance of Kenpachi Zaraki was gone. The pressure was so great that it completely removed the captain fo squad 11 from existence.

AND LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! WE HAVE OUR FIRST WINNER!!!


GIVE IT UP FOR GAARA OF THE DESERT!!!
