The Nuel Household

I flinch. 'I cant do everything! I cant save this world from every evil person. Isnt this enough? I am trying.' I cry out. 'I am tryin to do something...' I stand up, half running towards the door. I didnt want to do this to start with i couldnt take anyone else telling me there was more to do.

Jack locks the door with his mind.  "That's why I'm going to help you! And I'm sure the Strayers will too!  I know how hard it is to accept help, but whether you like it or not, I'm helping you!"

I slam my hand agaisnt the door. 'LET ME OUT! please...I cant do this.'

"River, no matter what you think, you can't do this alone.  You're going up against Crouch, which means you're going up against Raven as well.  You NEED allies to defeat them.  And I'm a very powerful ally.  I was close to killing Crouch before, if Sally hadn't stopped me."

'but Im not killing anyone! Im stopping my brother because I am the onely one that can. And i know....I am going to die, ok? I know the first thing he will do is kill me...and thats fine. As long as i can make everone else safer...'

"The point of that was that I CAN indeed help stop him!  What makes you think that you're the only one that can? It looked to me back there like he was going to kill you before you even had the chance to stop him!  You do need my help, even though you're too prideful to see it!"

'he was going to kill me because i wouldnt stop him! Do you really...honestly think i care about myself after all this? THis is not pride. I have no pride left. I have nothing left and i dont want people like you reminding me that after this...I am the one that will be abandond, while you all go back to your families. Families that Love you!'

Sally looks at River with compassion.  "River... You can join our family.  You don't have to be alone.  The fact that Jack brought you here meant that he cares.  He wants to help you because he cares.  I want to help too.  But I can't physically or magically fight, but I can heal whatever wounds you may get."

I start pulling on the door again. 'Please...i need to get out..'

ooc its kinda sad that after everything Riv now doesnt know what to do when people actually care.

OOC Yeah.  But whether she likes it or not, Jack is going to help her, so she should just accept it. xD

IC  "Why?"  Jack says, "Because you want to run away from help?  I know how you feel on that part, but your life will be so much better when you accept it!"

"Jack..." Sally says, "We can't force her..."

"I know.  But I'm going to help her take down Crouch whether she wants it or not!"

'LET ME LEAVE' I scream

"You are a fool.  Everyone's a fool!"  This argument is making Jack's madness return.  

Sally runs to the door to open it for her.  "Please... Return at any time!  I apologize for Jack..."

I almost run out of the room, but dont go far. the second i was out the house, i lean against the wall, looking up at the sky. I slide down until i was sitting and slowly, quietly, start crying.

Sam was coming to visit her parents when she sees River sitting outside, crying.  So much like her mother, Sam slowly kneels down next to her.  "What's wrong?"

'everything. nothing...'

Sam knows this, having depression.  "Do you want to talk about it?"

I shake my head. 'Ive already upset Jack...and Sally....'

"My parents?  I doubt you've upset my mom... She's probably more worried about you."  But Jack she can believe.  He's easily upset.

'I shouted at them both.'

"That doesn't mean that they're upset with you.  My dad, maybe, but he can get upset by the smallest of things.  My mom is never offended by anything."

OOC I have to go, I'll be back later!

'But they dont understand...and he wouldnt let me out...'

Sam looks confused by that last statement. "Why wouldn't he let you out?"

'Because i wont let him help me...'

"Help you with what? If you don't mind me asking..."
