Strayer Safehouse

"How long would that be?"

"I don't know... until I find it."

"... But what if you never find it?"

"... then I'll find another way and return."

OOC And Crest doesn't have his memories of Strayer training still... Right?

IC  I sigh, feeling so worried for him.

OOC Oh yeah! I almost forgot about that

He hugged her, "I'll be alright..." He promised and reaffirmed it with a kiss on her head.

OOC  So this will be REALLY tough for him!

IC  "Really?"  I start thinking and then remember, "Didn't Liria take away your memory of Strayer training?"

"I think I'll be okay, if it's remained undisturbed for so long, it's doubtful it'll get discovered now."

I just squeeze him tighter, not wanting him to go.

A golden light began to infiltrate the windows, welcoming a new morning and with that a new quest.

"I have to go."

I try not to start crying, but a single tear betrays me.  I don't stop hugging him, hinting that I don't want him to go.

I'm sitting on a bed in the Safehouse, squeezing my legs close to myself, looking on the verge of crying.  It's been days.  Crest is still gone.  I hope nothing has happened to him...

Artisan was passing through the corridors, bored out of his skull. He had been here for weeks after the Honora Castellum attack. He knew he could get the place back up and running if Arty would only let him leave to do it. 

But nope. Here he was. In the backwards ass safehouse.

But during his mindless meandering he looked at Sam's room and saw she looked down, "Hey, something up?"

Hearing the voice, I look up, hoping that it's Crest.  But it's Artisan.  I look down again, laying my chin on my knees.  "Crest left..."

"Yeah? He does all the time, never bothers telling anyone, you come to get used to it."

"No, he... He told me where he was going and what he was going to do... He hasn't come back yet... He promised he would..."

"What was it he said he was doing?" He sat down on the bed looking at her, listening like a comforting big brother.

I point to a book that is lying open on the desk, still there from where Crest read it.  "He went to find a port key... A one-way one that sends you to the Bermuda Triangle... He wants to find it and trap Helm there..."

"huh, that's actually kind of clever..." He had to admire the device that could do that.

"But he hasn't come back... I haven't heard from him since he left... What if something happened?"  I say, my breathing starting to get quick.

"Hey hey, hey hey hey!" He grabbed her shoulders and shook her gently.

"Crest is a powerhouse, he'll be alright.."

I bite my lip, then just throw myself on Artisan, needing the comfort with how emotionally wrecked I am, "I know, but... What if he never comes back?"

Aaawwwwkkkkkwwwwaaarrrrdd....


Patting her back, he spoke kindly, "Oh come on, finding a silly little portkey is child's play next to the crap he's done before."

"It's somewhere covered in ash..."  Anxious thoughts race through my mind, even illogical ones that could happen to Crest.

"So it's just taking him some time, he'll find it.."
