"A brother then..." He chuckled, thinking he had deceived the young man.

OOC I like this guy, he's pretty smart!

Raziel almost pointed out that Crouch was assuming he had a brother, but answering his questions with too many of his own would bring up suspicion. "Yes..."

OOC:  Same. What's making me chuckle the most though is the fact that Celeste and Crouch have met before, if I remember rightly.

"Interesting... younger or older?" Anyone who truly had a brother would be able to answer with ease.

"Younger," Raziel replied. "He has been there for me a great deal, which is why I corrected you on your earlier statement."

"And his name?"

"Iahhel." The angel of meditation would suit her nicely, considering her abilities.

"Hmmm.... an intriguing name, sounds similar to an angel name."

"It is. My brother and I come from a religious family. We were both named after angels."

"You know who else sounds like they have an angel name?"

Raziel cocked his head, a genuine frown drawing his brows together. "Who?"

"One named Celeste..." He smirked evilly.

He was silently thankful that he could remain so impassive, even though Celeste's existence was known to Crouch. "You are mistaken. While that name does indeed sound angelic, it actually means 'pure'. I don't know of any angel called 'Celeste'."

"Well it seems like a very remote coincidence that you would be in a school with one who bears such a strikingly similar name and yet not with your alleged brother.."

"Don't take me for a fool my friend, others died for less..."

"Is it such a stretch that my brother and I decided to attend different schools?" Raziel raised an eyebrow. "While we get along well, siblings still have their differences."

"Well then, does he attend Dogshorde or Drexzeal?" IF he fell for this trick, that would prove his theory..

OOC: Oh man, I am LOVING this battle of wits between them!

IC:

"Neither." Raziel gave him a serene smile.

Crouch smirked almost looking impressed by the man, "Then where does he go?"

He leaned forwards slightly, almost conspiratorial. "Now, tell me, why would I tell you that, Crouch? I'm not a stranger to tactical manoeuvres. Telling you would only place Iahhel in danger."

"Maybe I just want to invite him for tea? I don't HAVE to have a sinister motive for everything." He teased with a cruel chuckle.

"Know that I trust no one, except Iahhel." It wasn't a lie; Iahhel was Celeste, after all. "I'm not going to share this information with anyone."

"Pity that..." He said as he slowly drew his wand from his pocket.

The flower that had been slowly blooming at his feet paused, only to have thorns begin to grow from its stem. "No amount of spells will make me change my mind."

"I don't need you to change it, just be 'legible' so to speak..." He whipped it out and aimed for his forehead, "LEGILLIMENS!!"

The young man didn't even attempt to move out of the way. Another smile appeared on his lips, this one pleased. He had, in fact, been Celeste's first test subject, and his lesson had been a different brand of Occlumency.

Raziel had no faith in the art of guarding one's mind completely. Instead, he offered up different memories to Crouch, ones that were wrapped in certain nuggets of truth. For example, 'Iahhel' resembled Celeste in that he had her golden hair and bright, earnest blue eyes, but he was still male.

Hmmm... the memory seems to check out... but something about that smile he had...
