Once again, the calm waters of the lake beckoned for Kai like a magnet. He wanted nothing more than just to get on a boat and leave it all behind him. Hell, he'd survived that way before, who's to say he couldn't do it again?

Jack walks out, needing to be somewhere to clear his head. Not that his head ever clears. It's always clouded with guilt and shame... And the world of insanity, the drug that makes him forget about this cursed life.

He peered over at the man approaching him. Giving him the quick once-over he judged that the man probably wasn't a threat. He looked back towards the black water with longing. He wandered if the water would be icy or lukewarm this time of the year.

I look at the other stranger, and sit down. I'm not close, but I'm not far either. I look at the water, starting to shake, trying not to think about anything. But that's an impossible task for me.

When curiosity finally got the best of him he turned and cleared his throat. "Hey."

I slowly turn my head towards the stranger, almost surprised that I'm being talked to. "Hey..."

He smiled and gave a slight wave of his hand. "Sup. I'm Kai. You?"

"Jack..." Talking to him is helping a little, but not a lot as I continue to shake, my hand gripping this skin tightly on my arm, so much that it's starting to turn red.

Eugene had received an odd order from Artemis that he wanted a ploy juice potion made. Eugene couldn't help but chuckle at the irony of how not even a year ago he was to kill Artemis and now he's one of his friends.
