The Forbidden Forest

"Then drop it. This fighting over River's affections needs to stop. I'd hope that we're a bit more mature than that." He paused for a second. "Well, at least I am."

"I'm not fighting for River's affections. And as far as I'm aware we NEVER were. You never rose a hand against me anymore than I did for you in this regard."

"Sure we fought, but that was only for our sides."

'Turn around Amaya.' She could hear his voice as she sped through the forest, honing her path towards the castle. She didn't want to listen, not today. There were heavy footsteps behind her, he was still managing to keep up..

'There's no point going back sister, don't you get it? We don't belong here anymore..' The command in his voice had ebbed slightly, but she continued obliviously, shutting him out. Her fingers groped for the branches as she shoved them out of her way, huffing.

'They won't even know who we are, people will have moved on, they won't care-'
'SHUT UP!' She finally roared, almost stumbling with the loss of momentum. Birds screeched like she had, disappearing into the horizon, leaving the pair alone.

'I swear to Merlin I could kill you sometimes. Stop following me.'

 Muttering, the girl walked the rest of the way, angrily kicking up dirt with her shoes.

And of course, Bryn trailed behind her.

Krystal was just walking into the forest, needing peace. The wind blew her hair around, and she grabbed hold of it with a angry grown, tying it up in  ribbon as black as her hair.
She didnt even know why she was angry- well, that was the lie she was telling herself. There was no reason....it wasn as if everyone was leaving her. Family and friends. She came here to help them...and they walk away with nothing. not even a postcard.
No. SHe refused to let herself care. She couldnt, not anymore. It was far easier to block out her loneliness than feel it.
Bing a robot was better than being in pain....and that was why she needed the quiet.

'SSSh.' she instructed her brother, stopping for a moment and scanning the forest. It wasn't what she could see though, rather her hearing - Footsteps.  She reached for her wand, paranoia creeping up on her.

Bryn stared at her, blinking with his doe-eyes in confusion. He still couldn't hear a thing but remained motionless.

THinking she was alone, she closed her eyes briefly before slamming her fist into a tree. 'I dont want to do this anymore.' She whispered to herself, leaning agaisnt the tree. She pulled out her want and twisted it around her fingers, watching it

Bryn heard her this time, instantly running towards the source of noise.

'Krystal...?' his voice was quiet, curious. He did his best not to appear threatening. Whereas Amaya just remained hiding, more out of her own peace of mind than anything else.

Krystal glances up, her eyes widening slightly, before they narrow. 'Oh fantanstic. Let me guess. Ghost of christmas past, coming to haunt me and laugh at me?'

Amaya clapped a hand over her mouth, sniggering to herself.

'Why would I ever laugh at you?' a frown crinkled his forehead, taking a step closer before bowing. 'It's been a while, Sis.'

'Dont.' SHe backs away. 'Dont...this isnt real. your not really here.'

'I can prove we are.' Amaya now revealed herself, flipping a knife in one hand. 'I can throw this knife at you?' she joked, humour finally reaching her expression.

'May..' Bryn started to protest, shaking his head.

Krystal just stares at her, a frown on her face. 'Why....why are you here?'

'Why not?' she threw right back at the girl, rolling her shoulders in a shrug. Bryn couldn't comment; he'd simply followed Amaya to try and convince her not to come back.

'Not a fan of taking off without a reason.... often.' she added.

Krystal ignored her, looking a bry. 'You left me. You...just like everyone else. you left me here.'

'I was the one that left you.' Amaya pointed out, standing in front of her brother. 'This kid here died. Then came back like Jesus.'

'Krystal, I didn't have a choice. I-I had to...' he trailed off, staring at the floor at the long moment. 'It wasn't my decision to go.'

'BUT YOU STILL LEFT.'

'I had to! I had no control over myself!' he stopped himself, exhaling slowly. 'I can't explain.'

Amaya took a small step back, having heard the story before.

She shakes her head, turning away.

'It really wasn't his fault, he made a mistake of signing a contract with Lukas.' Amaya finished for him, kicking the dirt with her shoes again. 'He couldn't stay.'

'I dont care.' She spit out, still not turning around.

ooc  god, Krys meant to be my strongest character lol. she needs help...

'A'ight. Guess we'll just stroll on back in.' She linked her arm through Bryn's, practically tugging him past the girl. 'Unless you want to kill us first?'

'Why would i kill you. you were the only family i had left.'

'Were being the key word. Ex-family like to murder us all the time.' she half-joked, face setting into a plain mask.

'I wasnt the one that wanted to..' SHe shakes her head. 'Just go. Please.'

'Is there anything I can do?' his voice was almost inaudible, glancing at his sister with  pleading eyes.
