The Forbidden Forest

"Still ain't followin'..."

She shakees her head. 'Never mind, Joachim.'

"Look lady, I tried to do the whole honest john thing once, didn't work out."

She shrugs. 'Maybe it was just the wrong time. or  wrong perosn.'

"Krystal, why bother caring? It ain't like there's much of me to care about."

'Your still a person. and everyone should be cared for, no matter who they are. Besides...I need someone to look out for and annoy'

"Look out for? Careful there, you're almost making it sound like you kinda like me..." He teased her with a gentle shove.

She laughs. 'Nope. Just underneath my logical, demtermed outer shell, there is actually a girl.'

"Want me to check?" He asked crudely but jokingly.

'Carefully Chimmy. I could still kick your ass if i wanted to'.

"But you love me too much.." He cackled in a cartoonish evil laugh.

She rolls her eyes. 'You wish.'

Joachim laughed jovially until all of a sudden the air got cold around them and unseasonable frost formed on the trees. Even pipe tower of smoke stopped and ice formed in the chamber.

"What the hell?"

'Peace. really, can we not have that for a few minutes?' She sighs, her smile fading as her eyes narrow, turning back into the practical Krystal.

A dementor flew toward the two, a single shroud of darkness but just as potent as any number of them.

Flying with sickening grace, it first approached Joachim and began to feast on him as he yelled out for help.

Krystal freezes, but only for a second, before pulling out her wand, pointing it at the creature in front of her. She took a breath, trying to look through her memories for something happy.
'Expecto...expecto patronum' She gasped, watching the small silver wisp float out of her wand. But it wasnt strong enough

OOC Well it's through trial and adversity that allows characters to grow!

The dementor was held back for a a short while, trying to feed off the shield of silver but ultimately this didn't last as he got through to try and feast off the caster.

'No...I wont let you!' She backs away, shaking slightly, still trying to cast a strong enough spell...but all she could see was the deaths of siblings, the fear she had as a child, all the sorrow and pain started crowding her mind.

Joachim stood up shakingly, try to fight through the image of his family's slaying and his years as Chezhekov's minion..

"Yo... what's the spell?" He asked weakly, he knew he didn't have it in him to beat the sinister creature but maybe between the two of them they could.

Emily, Sophie, Danial, their faces were flashing in front of her eyes, even as she shut them. 'Im sorry Im sorry, imsorrysorrysorry.' She muttered, her fist clenched tightly. 'please...' She couldnt even hear the boy stood next to her.

Eventually Joachim too succumb to his own fears, "Pops! Ma! No Jinxy! RUN!"

Krystal fell to her knees, shivering, feeling cold t her bones. she was muttering under her breath, to quiet for anyone else t hear

Brogan was practicing in the woods when he saw a dementor. He hadn't fought one of those before so naturally he welcomed the challenge. He ran over to the dementor and tried to focus on his sole positive thought.

Saphire.

He allowed the thought to fill him as he cast, "Expecto Patronum!" A large grizzly bear came from his wand and beat back the foul creature.

As it withdrew, the warm air rushed back around Krystal, her mind clearing slightly, but she stayed where she was on the ground, gasping, not even caring that the others would see faint tears on her cheeks.

Brogan turned around to see the other two laying there, and he just scoffed t their weakness and turned to leave them where they lay.
