The Owlery

He nods slowly, then looks away, out the window, a small frown on his face. 'must be nice then...'

He felt saddened when he realized that no one ever really cared about Xander enough to send him letters. Sure, most of that was his fault, but it still sucked. "I'm sure you'll get a letter one day."

he laughs quietly. 'Only to blame me for someone dying.'

"Stop being so pessimistic." He reached out and lightly slapped Xander's arm.

'cant help it. You dont know what its like...Im terrified, every second, that someone will get hurt because of me.'

"You're going to have a heart attack if you keep stressing out about this. I know that it's something that you fear and you have to be wary of it at all times, but still. You're going to kill yourself if you don't get a grip soon." He hated being so harsh, but he really didn't think that it was healthy for Xander to worry the way he did.

'At least if that happened i wouldnt hurt someone else. like you.' He stood and walked away from teddy. 

ooc i need to go to bed. (sleep? whats that? however, bed is warm)
night

He rolled his eyes and called after the retreating figure. "You're not going to kill me Xander."

'You dont know that!' He stopped and turned around. 'The last person i cared about died because she loved me. So you cant...' He shakes his head, sighing.

The teenage rebellion in him swelled. "I can do whatever I want. If I care about you, if I end up loving you in some way, shape, or form, if I end up dying because of said love then what is wrong with that? At least I'll have died loving than hating. Is that such a bad thing?"

'Because it will leave me with nothing. Just like last time!'

"Xander, people die. It's a terribly ironic fact of life. I know that you're scared of losing people to this curse."

'just beause you die doesnt mean you have to die early.'

He shrugged. "We die when it's our time to."

'Exactly. when its time, not because i killed you.'

Oooh, how he wanted nothing more than to just smack some sense into Xander. He clinched his fist by his side and let out a huffy breath. "Xander...." He shook his head. "When will you realize that I am a stubborn son of a bitch? I reject your excuses and I will prove to you that having friends is a great thing and nothing to fear."

'You wont say that soon. when you get hurt.' Xander shakes his head. 'Damn it, i cant do this. i wont bee responible for this again.' He sarted walking away

He reached out to grab Xander's arm. "Then know that this isn't your fault. I know about your curse and the consequences should I gain feelings for you. I'm still doing this, because I think you're worth it."

OOC Listening to "A Thousand and One Nights" while writing this is kinda making me feel all mushy and romantic with Teddy. Oh Teddy, don't get your hopes up on this one...

'you dont know me.'

"But I'd like to."

'I cant.' his voice was full of pain. 'Im sorry.'

He grabbed Xander and pulled him into a kiss. He held the boy tightly so that he couldn't escape.

He froze before his eyes shut, and he gave himself one second to feel before trying to pull away. 'teddy...'

He held onto Xander defiantly. "Did you have any control over that?"

'Youve just signed your death warrent.' He muttered.
