I'd never get fed up of you.

'My God, you're so pathetic. You really are brain damaged, aren't you? you expect me to pity you?' She scoffed, twirling the knife between her fingertips.

'Not EVERYTHING in the world is about you Joachim. The world doesn't hate you like you think it does, but i do. I fucking hate your guts.' Laughter then bubbled out of her lips, pointing to his stomach in irony.

'I can see them now.'

"Okay.. alright, fair enough..." I raise my hands in surrender, "Take it easy now..."

"Come on, Amaya, let's just take him outside and wrap this twit up..." Brogan grumbled impatiently.

She took a long moment to stare at Joachim, to actually put a name and face to the person she was going to help murder. It made the situation more real, she was actually going to do this.

But he deserved it, retribution was what mattered. Repeating this to herself like a mantra, her voice was hollow when she spoke.

'Do it now. He can't escape here.'

Brogan grabbed Joachim arm, "You wont be messing with Saphire anymore..."

Joachim yelled piteously "Maya stop! Come on!!! Just!! FUCKING STOP HIM!! COME ON!!!!""

'No. I'm done with being used by you.' she couldn't meet his eyes, carefully placing her voice at a tone devoid of emotion. However, Amaya was struggling to blank out the desperation in his shouts, but knew if she helped him she'd only get screwed over again.

he doesn't really care about me, i'm just his only means of getting out of this situation.

'I'll see you in hell.'

"MAYA!!!! COME ON!!! I LOVE YA!!!!!! I DIDN'T THINK YA COULD...." However it wasn't only self preservation in his voice, it was also regret and sorrow. 

With that Brogan shoot a stupefy at him, "God, I hate when they plead. It's so pathetic." I start dragging him outside.

You have to die.
I can't let you ruin people's lives anymore.

She had to squint, mainly out of fear of impending tears filling the corners of her eyelids. Amaya was cracking, and she knew it.

'Bullshit.'

It was the only thing she had left to say to the boy, knowing that despite how much she was inclined to, she couldn't let him go. 
'I'm sorry Brogan, i'm no use to you now.'

she jumped to her feet, shoving her blade in her back pocket and pulling the one out of Joachim's stomach with ease. Cleaning it off, she prepared to walk away.

Brogan scoffs at her, "I should've guessed you'd chicken out.." With that, he alks with his prey outside.

The realisation slammed on her in the last instant, shifting back into a stance of action.
'Mistake number one: never call me a coward.'
She aimed again, but not for Joachim, for Brogan's shoulder blade.

The brooding boy looked surprised by the attack and dropped to the ground at the last second.

He snarled at her like an animal that was being delayed it's kill, "You'll pay for that..."

'Finite incantatum.' she shot the spell at Joachim's stunned body, letting out a sigh.

'I'm doing you a favour Brogan, you'll see.' Sapphire would never forgive him if he murdered Joachim, and he'd lose everything in life. She would also lose her best friends and family.

What good was that to anyone?

'Sapphie wouldn't take too kindly to you killing her boyfriend. The only person who ever loved you would detest the sight of you.' she knew he probably wouldn't listen, but she threw it out there anyway.

"But he's the only thing that stands between me and her... I mean... what do YOu know?" Brogan kept his grimace at her while Joachim scurried over to Amaya's side.

'I think i know enough. I've been divorced once and killed one of my sisters. Because of that I lost the only people i gave a crap about and it sucked.' She rolled her shoulders in a shrug.

'I ain't tellin ya what to do, but killing this stupid sack of shit will only bring you more anger and bitterness. You won't get her back.' Amaya spoke calmly, knowing she could be attacked at any minute.

"You're just as weak as the rest of them... and I don't deal with weak people..." With that brogan backed off. Deep down, somewhere in his sea of loathing he knew she was right.

"Oh sweet gentle candy-crusted Jesus thank you!!" Joachim was down on his knees, grasping Amaya's hand like she had cured him of some terrible aliment.

'Yay. I saved you life. Now you can carry on being a total douchebag with no consequences.' she spat sarcastically, gritting her teeth. She refused to let herself believe that Joachim was genuinely grateful for her intervention.

"No." Unlike his usual tone, he was firm here, resolute. "No, I totally deserved what you were going to dish out."

'I still think that.' the hand Joachim had grabbed onto clenched; she was clearly agitated. 'Toph wouldn't forgive me if i hurt you though.'

Gingerly, she peered down at his wound, pulling out her wand to attempt to heal it.

I stop her hand, "Don't. You don't have to do a damn thing for me as long as I live. I know I can't really make it up to you, but if there's anything I can do... well, don't hesitate to ask."

She paused for a moment, before pulling him into a hug. 

'I'd like to say stop screwing people around, but that's never going to happen, is it?'

"It can and it will." 

"Starting today, I'm strictly yours. I won't even LOOK at another dame." I hug her back and promise her.

'pfft.' she still didn't believe him, the natural pessimist side of her dictating her thoughts right now.

'What about Sapphire then?'

"I tell her we're done again, Psycho gets her, I get ya and we're all happy."

'And just like that, you drop her.' she noted flatly. 'At least act like you care...' she muttered.

"I never said I didn't. She's still got a place in here you know. It's what's best though."

'You still want to be with me even though I almost kill you?' she asked, disbelieving.
