"Because I'm a guy in a girl's body." He looked over at her and put it bluntly. "I'm trans."

She looked completely unaffected. 'Okay then!' Keanna continued. 'That doesn't make you a freak, you were just born with the wrong body, that doesn't seem weird to me.'

"Alright then, we're both not freaks."

'Are you going to get surgery then?' it wasn't meant as an invasive question, she was just curious.

He nodded. "Yeah, it'd be real nice not to have to wear a binder every day. I'll probably start off with T though first."

She nodded slowly, smiling gently. 'I wish you luck on that, the Government here provides that sort of surgery free y'know.'

"I know, but since I'm underage I need parental consent. Therein lies the problem."

'What happened to your parents? Do they not approve?'

"Nah, they think it's a phase. They're waiting for me to want to wear dresses and make up." He rolled his eyes. "I never wore that before I came out and now that I'm honest with them they think it's a phase."

'I guess i was lucky then. My parents were fine with me not being into men. My mum said they smell funny anyway.' she poked her tongue out at him, almost apologetically.

'How long have you been in this "phase"?'

He shrugged. "As long as I can remember. I never liked people calling me a girl and she and all that. I always was 'one of the guys' with my friends." He gave a half smile. "I started binding as soon as my boobs starting coming in. I hated them. I hated the curves, I hated the softness, I wanted to be a guy. So I told my friends and they were like 'whatever' and then I told my parents."

'Your friends were ok with it... interesting.'

"I know they will. I guess they're just shocked that their daughter is actually their son." He shrugged again. "I still like girls. I mean, come on, they're hot as hell."

'And besides, you'll have your friends on board.'

"Exactly, nothing to worry about."

"I thought we already established that. We're partners in crime aka friends."

'Okay, if you say so.' she joked, rubbing his shoulder in a friendly way. 'You're easy to get along with.'

He gave a half-hearted shrug. "I try."

Crouch just couldn't keep himself away from the school, however he wouldn't venture any further into it then there. He knew Death had a handle on things for now.

This was a place I usually didnt enter. It was quiet, yes, but the plants creeped me out. But i needed somwhere to think, and this was where my travelling mind had taken me.
