The Grounds

I study the papers throughly. I have to admit, this research was quite interesting and throughly.

I was sat underneath a tree, my wedding ring in my hands as i looked at it, deep in thought.
My mind was in turmoil- just like my heart. I didnt know if i could trust what i thought any more.
Who did i love? Had i really changed, or was that a lie to myself as well?

He approached the ginger girl silently. "Hey," he said softly once he was within ear-shot.

'Hi' i keep staring at my ring as i speak. come to join the pity party?'

"No, I came to see what's wrong?" He sat down beside her and stared at her ring. "It's pretty. Is it yours?"

'Nothings wrong. and everything.' I shake my head. 'The ring was mine...but i dont know anymore.'

"What's there to be confused about? You're married right?" He looked at the ring and felt immensely jealous all of a sudden. She had something he could probably never have. She didn't realize just how lucky she was.

'Yes i am. And i love him so much...but he isnt the only one i care about. And i have hurt him so much...'

"Wait, pause. You love him, but you love someone else, and you keep hurting your husband?" He didn't like to judge people but she sounded like a tramp.

"I hope that other guy is better than him for you to keep hurting your husband over."

I put my head in my hands and sigh. 'I didnt mean to hurt him. i just did..'

"So who do you love more? Who can't you live one single day without; your husband or the other guy?" he asked in all honesty.

'Both.' I look up at him. 'I cant live without either, so what d i do?'

He didn't know. He would have suggested polygamy but he doubted that she'd be up for that. "Spend time with both of them. Date them both, but not at the same time!, and see which one of the two your heart leads you to." He gave her a simple, but reassuring smile. "When all else fails, listen to your heart."

'I dont trust my heart.'

"Then perhaps you should."

'How can i, when it tells me to love two people, each on a different side of this war we are stuck in?'

"You can love both, just one romantically and one sisterly or friendly."

I walk onto the grounds, the letter in my hands. 'CROUCH!' I yell

I look towards River with a suspicious jar in hand, "What do you want?"

i look at the jar but dont comment on it, but hand the letter to hi. 'This is for you.'

I snatch the letter from her hands and read it, "What is the meaning of this?"

I shrug. 'Mother wants to see you.'

"Don't think me a fool, River. It's fairly obvious that's what she wants, question is, why?"

'I dont know. Why dont you go and see?'

"I sense a trap of some kind..."
