"That alone limits the suspects.." I think hard on it, "Do you have any physical descriptions?"

"They looked...older and I think it was a mans voice. And..." I strain my memory
"I think he had silver hair..."

"I see... I have an idea! I kept the files for traitorous Strayers, how about I show you them and see if anything clicks?"

I nod
"Okay, where is it?"

"Hold on... let me get it from my common room..." I walk away to go get it.

I return after a few minutes with a red leather ledger in my grasp, "You ready?"

I nod, staring intently at the book
"I'm ready."

"okay, here is everyone who sided with progenitor in the Civil War..." I open up the book and flick through the pages. Picture after picture of treacherous family members passed, but I was sure to stop at each to give her a good look

My finger instinctively stops on a page.
"There!"
I narrow my eyes at the name
"What does that say?"

"Progenitor Strayer, the leader of the Traditionalist side..."

My breathing gets heavy

"he was never a man to do something without a cause. My guess is you knew something he didn't want made public."

I shake my head
"But...I don't know what that is...I hate this."

"Well unfortunately, there's no way of knowing for certain now. The man died trying to make amends for his wrong doings."

I sigh
"Great, only person who would know and he's dead." I throw one hand up in the air
"How does this make anything any better?!" My voice raises and just by what I would like to believe to be sheer coincidence, lightning strikes from the sky and splits a tree dead center.
I look over to the tree
"Wonderful." I mummble

"Calm yourself... it might not be impossible to trace his steps."

I'm still frustrated
"Not impossible? He's dead!"

"He is, but I know where he stashed his secrets that not even Crest knows about."

My eyes widen as my heartbeat quickens
"Really? Where? I have a right to know. Clearly he did this to me for some reason, I think I should know why."

"Here, come with me and we'll go right now."

I nod, my entire self on edge

I haven't yet had my satisfaction. The murder of the cult was just the beginning, I needed to find their branches so that I can make THEM suffer.
My knife hand twitched ad I wandered the grounds of this strange place

Since Crouch isn't making me do anything at the time, I walk the grounds, breathing in the fresh air. I notice a stranger in the distance, my mind immediately reading her and gathering information.
