Pitch snarled, his eyes narrowing in hatred, glaring in anger towards Enzo.

"And yet I know more of all the galaxies than you will ever know. You think I care over pathetic eyes like yours?"

"You should, they can make others believe in you."

The Nightmare King froze.

His eyes widened slightly, flashing a strange, momentary green color; unnatural to his normal yellow eyes.
"They-?"

"Think you I got all my following my asking politely?"

Another flash of green n Pitch's eyes, the man's grip loosened on Cynder.
"... You did not hold your word before.... and why should I trust it now?"

"Did you hold my grandson and my best friend's niece hostage during that time frame?" I ask challengingly.

A wince, the Nightmare King rolled his eyes and wrinkled his nose.

"Honestly, at the time I only held that Daisy girl... It wasn't until you refused to hold up your side that I claimed Christopher.."

"You what?!" Staring daggers at my father, I implore him again, "What does he mean?!"

Ged's expression went dark, as he looked between the father and daughter here.
Damn it, these two's rivalry would end them!


Pitch's grin grew harshly on his face.
"Oh, you weren't told, my dear? Your father refused to give me the one little request I desired, and in turn set up your child to threat.."

"Agatha... please, now is not the time!"

"So, when you think about it, it really is Boniface's fault.."
Pitch's voice was strong again, commanding and suave. Utterly charming.
He wanted to win Agatha over- he had ever confidence he could.

Despite her notable distress, Agatha was still a woman of priority and knew this man had hurt her son.

"You're getting him back or I'll make sure you never see us again."

Pitch smirked and turned his face back to Enzo.
His golden eyes flashed with a dangerous yellow.


"Enzo, I yearn for one thing, and one thing alone. You know it very well. So tell me now, will you give it to me to return your grandson?"

"It is not something I can give, I have to teach it."

Pitch gave a chortle, a shake of the head.

"I've taken much too much time already, waiting for my time... tortured by my own shadows.... and you think I'll stall and take my precious time again...? You might as well just give me the power I so long for.."

"Are you dense? This power cannot be given you fool! It took me many moons to perfect it. I can teach you but you must release my grandson and geds niece. I shall accept nothing short of that." My words might as well have been chiseled into a stone slab they stood so resolute and final.

The Nightmare King was clearly frustrated.
He gave a snarl and eyed Boniface up and down for a split moment.

"I will hold up my end of the deal once you hold up yours. I will refuse to make the same mistake again."

"Then I refuse. Either Christopher and Cynder are returned or you shall forever exist in obscurity!"

Pitch grinned wider than he ever had before, his jagged teeth gleaming in the smile that could make the Cheshire Cat's look sane.

"I have my ways of making people believe. It'll take it's own time, but I'm not sure I'm ready to give up my two lovely slaves...."

In a move of complete obscenity and smug 'I-do-what-I-want' sort of emotion, Pitch yanked Cynder's face to his, pressing her lips to his forcibly.
The girl gave a whimper he he held it, finally giving in to her pushing hands and allowing her to break free for air.


Ged snarled, staff raised, but not willing to risk Cynder becoming a fearling.

Pitch raised a brow to Enzo and Agatha.
"I liked them too much, anyway.."

This has to end. I grow ever more disgusted with this rabble.

"What are two minor slaves next to a single major one?"

I step forward, "I think we can agree my skills are stronger than the both of theirs and I hold secrets they do not."

"Boniface, you cannot-"

Ged's voice was overridden by Pitch's own.
The shadowy man gave an amused look, cocking his head, still refusing to let the girl go.

Enzo clearly had Pitch's interest; the nightmare king did not attempt to hide it, though he didn't give in to his sarcastic and smug side.

"One slave over two? Two can get a job better, and anyway- you really do not have the body I'm looking for...."

"My age is more advanced than the two of them I admit. But what I lack in youth, I compensate with powers. Ancient ones too. I have dabbled in arts, of neither dark or light. But powerful, yes, very powerful."

"And among them, a hypnosis that cannot be resist, such as the inferior imperius curse can."

"Did you think my fortress was made of that crystal for aesthetic alone? It is a focussing point. A point in which I can access all I need. All YOU need."

Distrust rolled clearly through Pitch's expression, and he wrinkled his nose.
Though still hanging tightly to Cynder with the arm around her waist, he put on a bored expression and examined the nails on his free hand.
"If you think I'm going back to that cursed place, you're very wrong. And anyway, Christopher has the potential to be just as powerful as you... I think I'll stick with what I have..."

"Then you are a fool. I shall try this at a different angle."

"Either you comply with my demand, or I cast the world into disbelief of you." I threaten him, this was the last card I could play.

Pitch froze completely.


Any disinterest or confidence in himself vanished.
A panicked expression flashed over his eyes; he looked hurt and broken, as if the thought tore at his heart.

His voice lacked the strength from before.
"-... you... I don't believe you.."
