Phaze retracted his hand, rubbing the back of his head with it.

"Well I was just out lookin' for some people when I saw the most beautiful person I've ever seen in my life. I approached 'er, said 'ello, and 'ere we are!"

I suppose 'e could 'andle two courses in a day...

'Shame this beautiful person will freeze your balls off if you even look at her the wrong way.' she took a moment to roll up her left sleeve, revealing her dark mark for a blip of a second.

'Believe me, i am everything but beautiful.' she said it matter of factly, pointing to her extraordinarily pale skin, limp and pigment-less white hair and general wraith-like appearance.

Phaze ignored Donia's second remark; he didn't really care that much, and instead focused on the mark on her arm.

"Ain't that one of them Death Eater marks? So you in with Crouch and that lot?"

'Yup. You know Crouch?' she frowned at her own question; practically everyone seemed to know the hybrid around here.

"Course I know Crouch! He welcomed me to this school, and 'as 'elped me with some...responsibilties." Phaze was trying to make himself not seem suspicious.

'Stop trying to skirt around your obvious issue. I know this place well enough to realise that when Crouch is helping someone, bad shit's about to happen.'
She concluded swiftly, with efficiency.

'You've got something he wants.' clearly, otherwise he wouldn't even give you the time of day.

"I don't really 'ave much Donia love, as you can plainly see." Phaze extended his arms to his sides and twirled around "And what I do 'ave probably ain't good enough for someone all high-up and proud like Crouch."

Unless she means...

'Nah. Let me give you a little info on this certain Death Eater.' she was free with this information, she had no real loyalties to Crouch aside from the fact they were both working for the same cause. Even then, she wasn't wrapped up in Voldemort's fanaticism.

'Crouch is only nice to someone if they've got something he wants that could potentially be dangerous to him. And if he can't get them on side by being the polite maniac he is, he tries to kill you.'

Phaze remembered when he'd first met Crouch. Crouch didn't seemed impressed by him, but changed his mind after Phaze showed him...

"I think you might be right love. But I don't care; he helps me with my responsibilities."

i'm always right. she added silently, the beginnings of a smirk curling on her lips.
'Eh, i guess i have to ask since i'm part of Crouch's crew. Anything you'd like me to do to help with these "responsibilities?"' she used inverted commas.

"Well, you know of any mudbloods around school? Better if 'ey won't be missed either."

'Try Meredia Desouza, she's some blind chick. You wouldn't have to hide from her.' she counted her on her fingers.

'and then there's this kid-' she tried to think of his name 'Bit unassuming, boring really... Axel! That's his name!' Donia realised the boy was so plain that she barely remembered what he was called.

"Well, wouldn't wanna attack some blind girl without good reason. But maybe I could use this Axel guy."

'what exactly.. do you plan on doing with him?' remnants of weariness flickered in her eyes.

"You're a Death Eater, so I s'pose I can tell ya. I got a contract with someone, in which I need to bring 'em people to, let's say 'feed' off of. Of course, there's also my personal mission to purify the world. You know, get rid of all the mudbloods."

'you're a pureblood?' she questioned, immediately wondering why he didn't sport the dark mark.

"I don't like being part of an organisation; makes it easier to track me down." Phaze shrugged "I work better alone anyway."

'Track you down..?' she eyed him curiously. 'We Death Eaters are inconspicuous when we want to be, save for Crouch.' In all honesty, if anything bad happened it was definitely due to Crouch around here.

"Let's just say they didn't exactly appreciate my actions back in London."

ic 'Right...' she waited for him to explain, not pushing or offering judgement either way.

"maybe Crouch could tell you more though. People tend to get afraid of me when I tell them personally."

Her tone was withering, snorting. 'There aren't many things you could say to frighten me.' she wasn't being arrogant, she'd just learnt to rationalise her fears.

"Ooh, this sounds like a challenge. How 'bout if you met a Dementor?"
