The Black Lake

I laugh. 'We do have weakness, but we also have strength.'

ooc how convenient..

'Granted, but still, there's a balance to everything.' Bryn paused, considering. 'Human beings have a strong desire not to die, we gain strength when we most require it.'

I'm sitting up against a tree, reading a book as I usually am.

I sit quietly at the edge of the Black Lake, a place I only ever am privileged to visit every so often. As a death eater, I never get the chance to come to such quiet yet cold places such as this; I look down at my hand at a black rose that laid delicately in my palm. The horrid memory this rose holds comes back briefly and I grip it tight, not wanting to dwell on it.

I walk out to the Black Lake, just wandering and thinking.

My senses sharpen when I feel someone else approaching the black Lake. I turn my head a bit and spot another, a girl quite younger than I am simply wandering around the rim.
And to think it was so peaceful before she showed up, I dissolve into shadow and reappear behind her; my expression cold and unchanging
"You shouldn't be out here"

OOC: Imagine Maiya to wear a dress similar to Crona's but without the white cuffs on the sleeves :]

I immediately turn around, having been startled by this woman. My face and stance is cautious, "Why shouldn't I?"

"Because dangerous people happen to enjoy this place."
As I walk towards her, I brush my hand across some plants, they slowly wilt turning a pale gray as the leaves grow black and crust.
"To escape from the so called justice that hangs like a watchful umbrella over this world."

My face gets more serious and determined. "So you're implying that you're one of these dangerous people?"

I stride past her
"You could say that"
I sit down on the edge, putting my feet into the water, some of the water around me turns black; I look down at it
"Saddening, everything I touch seems to die..."

I relax a little, but still keep on guard. "Why's that?"

OOC Is this a Death Eater you said would irritate Raven?

I look up at her with storm gray eyes
"I am not one to hide anything so I will simply tell you" I pull up my sleeve, showing my mark
"I am a Death Eater."

OOC: Yes, she isn't afraid of pretty much anybody, even Voldemort, she's gone against him several times for personal goals :3

OOC Ohhh... This gives me an idea.

IC I immediately glare, putting my hand in my pocket to get out my wand, "What are you doing here?"

OOC: ooohhh really now?

I sigh
"It's always the same inane reaction and frankly it's getting boring." I bring the rose up to my face, "go ahead and hurt me, I'm not afraid of you petty witches and wizards."

OOC I'll PM it to you... Or I guess since we're both on Facebook. xD

IC I just stand there, ready to point my wand at her, debating. She hasn't really given me any just reason to fight her, other than being a Death Eater.

I snap my eyes at her and flick my wand at hers, knocking it out of her hand. I then re conceal my wand and look back towards the water
"Even if you had an intent on fighting me you wouldn't have won either way; unfortunately with your current skill you couldn't scratch me..."
I smell the roses's black petals
"But then again I had no intent of harming you either."

I reach down and pick up my wand, then hesitantly put it back in my pocket. "Why wouldn't you harm me? I thought all Death Eaters enjoyed torture..."

"I did"
I look back towards her, a certain distant sadness in my eyes
"But that was until the point it was used against me, to rip the only thing left that I had valued in this world away from me."
I griped the rose fiercely, as if holding someone's hand
"In order to get my long awaiting revenge, I needed to destroy Death Eater's; and I knew there was no better way then to rip them apart from the inside. Just as they did to me..." There's now a hint of anger in my tone

My eyes widen. I don't completely trust her, but either way, it's a sad story. "What about Voldemort and the other Death Eater's? Wouldn't they hunt you down?"

I stand up
"That, child, is where the second part came in. I had to earn their trust and make them believe I would never betray them, or the dark lord. I tortured families into giving information, twisted people into insanity, tormented children into crying literal tears of blood..." I put the rose back into my hair
"Needless to say, my heart grew cold over the years. I no longer know the meaning of fear."
I pull the rose back out and show it to her
"A gift from my husband, right before Lord Voldemort made me watch his mind be crushed before my eyes. This rose is all I have left. And no, child, they still believe I follow them, so even if they discovered my intentions I would not let myself be killed."

Sarah: "Wow..."

Raven: I walk out to the Black Lake, smirking when I see that little brat Sarah and the unknown person. "Well hello there!"
