She shook her head, exasperated. 'You don't understand, people never do..'

'How does this work...?' she'd been fumbling with Query's cane for days, shadows circling her bright grey eyes as she twisted various parts of it.

The girl had a mad grin spread across her face when a shot of electric sparked from the bottom. Finally.

'I did it!' she yelled to nobody in particular, chuckling with her delight. He'd be so proud... Ace couldn't sat the need to finish what he'd started, to prove herself somehow. She wanted to do it, therefore it would be possible.

She could do anything.

'Think about the electric going through the target, not at it.' Bryn instructed, standing behind a small rounded shield. 'Imagine you're trying to hit me.'

Ace nodded, flexing the cane awkwardly in her hands. A pulse of light flared out of it, blasting the shield with more impact than before.

'Hm, I suppose that makes sense, since a force would require more energy over a longer distance..' in fact, it was painfully obvious. Bryn simply smiled, motioning for her to try again. He was aware he shouldn't be helping her in a vengeance mission, but his input would stop her going completely astray...

It also served as a good distraction anyhow.

He walked into the Room of Requirement. Seeing Bryn and Ace working on something, he stayed near the back. Smiling slightly, he crossed his arms across his chest and watched them.

Ace immediately tensed, pupils shrinking as she frantically reverted the cane back to its normal positioning. 'Thanks brother...' she mumbled, taking a few hesitant steps back before dashing out of the room.

'Teddy...' Bryn finally spoke, blinking as he watched his sister leave. 'I would ask how you've been, but i guess i already know.' doesn't that ruin the fun.

He cocked his head to the side and smiled flirtatiously. "Really? How do you know how I've been?" His tone matched his smile. "Have you been stalking me?"

He exhaled in exasperation, shaking his head carefully. 'Being a seer means there isn't a lot you don't see.' Bryn couldn't help it; the slight tinge of accusation had crept into his voice.

He really was as paranoid as he was before he'd died.
