'So automatically I'm the culprit. That's like saying Immigrants are responsible for murder just because they joined the country last.' Donia remained calm, always rational.

ic She held up two fingers, maintaining her air of logicality. 'One, not all the Death Eaters have been kicked out. I'm pretty sure Death Dolohov's running around here still with his mark on display. Two, anyone could've sabotaged that broom that that day. People bide their time; they never act staight away.'

"Their kind do." I maintain that no nonsense approach, still stalwart in my conviction.

ic Donia felt no fear at all, absolutely none whatsoever. 'You're saying this to the wrong person.'

No intimidation at all. Most at least flinch, a waver in resolve, or something. But with her I don't frighten her at all. This is a new experience for me.

But nonetheless my resolve doesn't waver, "So you say."

'No, i know so.' she remained firm, body posture becoming more solid, self-assured. 'You're wasting your breath.'

I shake my head silently, my eyes not leaving hers for a moment.

Even she couldn't handle extended eye contact, letting her gaze flicker to the students surrounding them. 'Anything else you wanted to ask, inspector?'

A social anxiety. Perhaps a desire to satisfy appearance, implying espionage.

"When did you get to Hogwarts?"

'A few months back, when news spread that the DE were kicked out. This place is meant to be safer now they're gone..'

"who are your parents?"

'Selene and Andrei Travers.' she replied matter-of-factly. 'They live in Romania, would you like my life story too?'

"Yes." Depending on how rehearsed it sounded it could help confirm my suspicions.

'Well you're not getting it.' she answered coldly, snorting. 'I was being sarcastic.'

I stare at her as though looking at her very soul.

Her fingers subonsciously went to her neck, where a small silver cross now lay under her robes. Donia was losing interest again, about to turn her back to him.

My hands go into my pocket to find one of Artisan's listening devices.

'Are we done now?' she asked again, growing impatient.
