The Forbidden Forest

He grinned with approval, bobbing his head in a nod. 'Sounds like a great plan. He ran his hands through his hair, considering. 'I really am glad you want to change your ways though, it was surprising but in a nice way.'

He can't honestly be this naive. People don't change.

"Yes, I'm glad I do too. I feel more at ease than ever."

ic 'It's exactly how i felt when i left the Death Eaters too. Like I could finally be at ease with who i was, not destroying myself for fun anymore.'

I'll be at ease with myself once you're all destroyed.

"Yes, I just hope to undo all I did..."

Bryn nodded again, imitating a bobblehead. 'Like i said, you have nothing to prove.' Although Bryn was offering a chance, he wasn't naive. He knew Crouch easily underestimated his enemies.

"Well I'd best go to see what else I can do."

'Good luck.' he had nothign else to say, but he was genuine.

I leave, absolutely thrilled by the outcome. It was so much more than expected.

His eyes were still trained on Crouch's retreating form, a tiny smile tilting the corner of his mouth.
We'll see how valid your word is after all. Bryn was open, but he wasn't trusting, especially with people like Crouch.

Lewis entered the Forbidden Forest, his heavy hands dangling by his sides. He'd heard of the dangers of this forest, and carried many of the precautions Lukas had advised him to. He glanced from side to side, before pulling a journal from his satchel.

Research Journal Entry #1
Upon entering the forest, I have failed to notice anything spectacular right away. However, who knows what secrets this place may hold.

Lewis returned the journal to his satchel, and replaced it a Red Vine. He lent on a tree as a cowboy of the old west would a saloon as he chewed on the licorice goodness.

This forrest was one of the few sanctuaries in which I could be myself and drop this foolish facade. I had to step things up, I don't know how much my patience can take of being around these fools and NOT crushing them.

Lewis thought he heard something approaching nearby. He swiftly and silently hid behind the tree, awaiting the sound's source with journal in hand.

"There's no need to sneak up on me, I can smell you..." So much for personal freedom. I suppose I have to put up my facade again.

Lewis sighed with dissapointment at the voice and returned his journal to the satcehl, but not before writing:

Research Journal Entry #2
I have encountered a rare vampire/werewolf hybrid. Perhaps this is a wonderful oppurtunity for some research on the kind.


Lewis hunched over from the weight of his hands, and dragged himself to the voice's owner. Noticing his human form, he extended his arm.

"Lewis."

I shake his hand, "I'm Crouch Junior the IV, It's nice to meet you Lewis.."

Lewis retracted his hand.

"I thought so." He placed his hand in his satchel. "I've heard a lot about you."

A newcomer. This could be beneficial to my plans.

"I'm not surprised.." I smile sadly.

Lewis' hand remained in his satchel.

"I hear your some sort of weird hybrid." Lewis was intentionally playing dumb for reasons he wasn't quite sure of.

"I prefer the word 'unique' myself..."

Lewis shrugged "To each his own."

He began pacing around the forest. One arm dangled by his side, the over remained firmly in the satchel.

"So tell me, Mr Crouch. What do you know of other magical creatures in this forest?"

What is he playing at?

"Well I do know there's werewolves, giant spiders, and such in here... why do you ask?"

"Research." Lewis intentionally left it at that. He gripped something within his satchel.

"May I ask you, Crouch, about a student called Bryn?" His monotonal voice hid his true intentions.

"What do you wish to know of him?" This could be a Dark-Lord-sent or a diaster for me.

Lewis stopped in his tracks.

"I'd just like to know what you think of him."

I consider my answer carefully. I don't know what side of the fence this man is on. If heis with them, if I reply truthfully then this could ruin my plans. But if he's with the Dark Lord or at least his enemy then he could be a valuable asset.

"He welcomed me back so I am grateful for that." This was neither a falsehood nor a truth. I was grateful for him to let me back, but only so I could destroy him later.
