The Forbidden Forest

"Are you dense? You sprung your wrist. I'm not a doctor but doesn't that mean you need that wrapped up?"

"I can take care of it myself... I just really don't want to go to the Hospital wing.. I've been doing quite well on avoiding it lately."

"Fine, then I'm going with you."

She smiled a little "I have no objections to that.."

I start walking with her.

She looked at her wrist finally to see what sort of damage had actually been done, it was already a little purple but not too bad "thank you for saving me.. again. Guess I'm a bit more danger prone than I thought."

I scoff a bit, brushing it off as nothing.

"you know you're supposed to say you're welcome right" she said it teasingly with her usual smile.

I swear that smile is enchanting...

"Let's just go..."

"Ok then.. all I need is my bag anyways.. though I'm not sure if you can follow me into the Slytherin common room."

"I've got two little friends who say otherwise.." I spin my wands in my hand.

"how about we just be as inconspicuous as possible?"

I groan out in annoyance, I HATED doing things subtly. There was just a cowardice to it, only associated with Death Eaters.

"Fine..." I pocket both wands like a gunslinger putting his pistols away.

"It's just the easiest way.. trust me."

"Well then let's go." I start running with her in hand.

Krystal was sat against a tree just inside the forest, her eyes shut as she hummed a sing under her breath

'Sup sis.' he had needed time alone to contemplate, having sought solace in the forest for a few hours.

'The sky.' She muttered before opening her eyes. 'Hey Bryn.'

'How've you been?' his voice was gentle, concerned as always.

'Im fine. for once.' She smiled. 'What aout you...and the others/'

'Ace has been struggling.. but overall we're not too bad for once.' he offered in a light response, smiling faintly.

'Thats good.'

"Good God! Are you all right!?"


"nnngh-"


"Sir...? oh God, you'll be okay, you'll be fine..."

There was quiet for a moment, as a brown-haired girl shuffled around the thin figure of the Nightmare King, who was slowly regaining his senses.
Within a moment, he sat up, hands gripping at the ground for purchase, heaving in deep breaths of surprised air as her voice and belief brought him back to conciousness.

Cynder immediately moved to quiet the snarling, confused stranger, looking stern.
"Slow, now. You were out cold!"

"... so much light-"

"There's not much here, sir. Just calm, it's all right, the light's dim here..."


A few confused blinks, Pitch slowly relaxed, allowing himself to calm. Drowning in Light was painful. His skin still burned, tingling with the feeling of it.
His head ached painfully.

It was good to have help from the girl, who was that tempting twin of Daisy. And though there was silence from then on, she dug through her bag and pulled out what she had packed for her own lunch, giving him what he wanted to re-cooperate.
