Query's Maze

Mind if we pause this? Eagle can come in next time or w/e

I don't mind.

The finest of wine has nothing compared to air right now. The heat of my body has flooded the sarcophagus by now so each breath in felt like smooth, Invisable coals slowly slithering down my throat.

How could I escape? What do I know about Query?

Sam: I'm sitting in my place, my arms around my legs and my head on my knees... Silent tears fall from my eyes and drip to the floor. I'm afraid... I'm always afraid...

Azula: I'm laying on the ground, staring up at the ceiling. "Crying never solves anything, you know..."

Sam: Hearing the voice makes me slowly lift my head. I look over at Azula, not bothering to wipe my red, wet eyes. I stay silent, not wanting to say anything, remembering Query's words on killing Crest even though he's not here at the moment.

Azula: I laugh, "My, you're a fragile one... You break down over the smallest of things!"

Sam: I just look away, listening, but not answering.

Azula: "Hope is not lost you know... We CAN get out of here..." I grin.

Sam: I look back at her, confused.

Azula: My hand ignites and my grin widens. "This is but an ordinary cage! Query's the biggest fool here..."

Eagle hasn't responsed. How typical. When relying in others, always expect disappointment. It is unavoidable. I must get us out of here.

Sam: My eyes widen and I just watch her.

Azula: Fire blazes from my palms and onto the metal bars, and they eventually start to melt.

Sam: My eyes widen even more. We still have a chance...

My voice sounds over the intercom, "that is CHEATING Azula! You're not allowed to do that!"

Azula: I laugh, "But I just DID it, ya dumbass!!"

Sam: My heart races with fear as Azula and I get out of the cage. There's no knowing what comes next... I just know that we need to find Crest and get out of here...

What do I do? Do I play a game, but they cheated, they'll just cheat again... Right?

Crest: "it's confusing for you, isn't it? When others don't play by the rules."

Query: "they LOST!!!" I pull a lever and send a large round stone rolling towards them from the tunnels.

Sam: I flinch in fear, my eyes widening. I stand there, in shock.

Azula: "Dark Lord, girl, MOVE!!" I yell at Sam, blasting lightening at the stone to break it.

Sam: I just run, wanting to find Crest.

Query: the girl was growing ever closer to the center of my maze. It would not be long before she found me... But Azula I can still deal with.

"Riddle me this Azula. What can turn you to stone with a look and what child eating boar hailed from Crete?"

The rock splits in two but inside are encased two large stone statues that beared the likeness of Medusa and a Minotaur. Both crawled out of their stone beds and ready themselves to fight Azula.

Azula: I grin, "Bring it on, DUMBass!!!" I shout out to Query.

Sam: I just run, looking around, not really knowing where I'm going.

At the center of the maze, just in front of Sam was a small circular dome with a single door with a green question mark, the dor for it being the door knob. Inscribed was a riddle,

What thumps everyday but sadness can break it?

The Minotaur and medusa statues start to swipe at Azula with unprecedented strength and unnatural agility given their stone form.

Azula: I dodge, shooting lightning at them, but take a breath. Fire I can use unlimited, but lightning is more dangerous...

Sam: I look at the riddle, thinking. I want to say 'a heart', but anxiety is taking over my mind. What if it's wrong? What if I don't get it right?

The lightning seems to be absorbed into the statues, prompting the response by Query's voice, "you might say that their strengths and weakness fluctuate. But then again, maybe I'm lying."

OOC OH YEAH!!!!

IC Sam: I take a deep breath, knowing that I'll never know if I don't say it... It takes a minute, but eventually comes out. "A heart."

Azula: I smirk, "Foolish you are, but clever..." I start shooting fire.

In my desire to get rid of Azulai had forgotten about Sam until she was right in the room with Crest and I!

"YOU CAN'T BE IN HERE! That's cheating! You all cheat, cheat, cheat,cheat, CHEAT!!!"

The statues begin to crumble but then pick themselves up and medusas snake hair goes to ensnare Azula.

Sam: "Crest?!" I shout, ignoring Query for the time being, which is probably not the smartest idea.

Azula: I get grabbed, but I laugh, placing a hand on the stone and igniting my hand.

The snakes strength seems to increases as it starts to crush Azula.

Crest: "Sam! Be careful, but you have the advantage. He has no traps in here!"

Query; "I have one actually... You."

Sam: My mind is so jumbled that it's hard to think. Crest... I need to get Crest out... But I need Query out of the way first.

Azula: I start gasping for breath, knowing this is an extremely dangerous, and possibly fatal, move I'm going to do, but I do it anyway. I shoot lightning from my palms straight at Medusa's face.

Query: without magic I stand no chance in this but I simply must get to eagle! I have to!

I slam on a button which sends me through a trap door and locks it behind me.

The statues head is blown clean off, releasing Azula from the snake that now fell freely from its former place.

Azula: I fly back with the force of the blast, nearly passing out from the impact.

Sam: He escaped!! But he left Crest here... I run to wherever Crest is locked, trying to figure out how to unlock it.

Crest: "I felt a crease along the side of the sarcophagus, can you pull it apart?"

Minotaur: picking up one of the fallen snakes as a club, I swing it down upon Azula.

Azula: Despite my tiredness, I roll to dodge it, still trying to catch my breath.

Sam: I find it, trying to lift it, but too physically weak to. So... I focus my mind on it, eventually pulling it apart with my mind and my arms.

Crest: a gust of air came roaring into my lunges, the coolness ever so refreshing, "thank you dearest!" I hug her.
