He placed his own palms on her waist, letting his unnatural warmth seep through them. Soon, they'd be at a scalding temperature. 'Oh really? You don't want to play this game with me Pixie..'

Lukas was a gryffindor; he'd never back down.

Her usually teasing brown eyes are narrowed and hard, frozen with contempt. "You wouldn't, Lukas. If you wanted to cause me real harm, you would have done it by now."

He let his power surge through his arms, able to burn her skin in seconds. 'Challenge accepted.' she could either release her grip on him or burn. Lukas offered no choice.

He even put a small sneer on his face for show.

Her breath hisses out from between her teeth, and she jerks backwards slightly, but doesn't release her hold on him.

Instead, she decides to try playing with him.

Disguising the tears of pain as ones of emotional hurt, Pixie turns a look on him that she would actually put on if she was really upset: accusing and betrayed.

What's the problem? You've done it to thousands of people.

Deciding she was an idiot to play this game with a centuries old kitsune, Lukas also donned an indifferent gaze, one he'd had to use so often in the past. Of course, his heart wrenched inside, but he could keep it up.

'Your fault for not backing away.' his tone was dull, listless.

"Lukas," she hissed, bringing a slightly fearful edge into her voice.

'Let go, and move back.' he'd let his arms cool down a bit, admittedly he wasn't ready to go to a length where he could cause her irreversible damage.

She decided to bite the bullet and go for it. "If you care about me, you'll let go."

'And if you care about me, you won't mind me doing this.' He pulled his arms away, letting the heat ebb out of them before pulling the girl against his chest.

And of course, he kissed her like his life depended on it, lacing it with apology and passion at the same time.

She returns it happily, a slight smirk on her lips as she does so; he can probably feel it, but oh well. Pixie wants him to know that she was partly acting. Still, she clasps her hands around the back of his neck to hold him close, and doesn't complain even when her sides twinge with pain a little bit.

Lukas didn't deny the small twinge of relief he felt when she responded to his gesture, careful of her injured sides as he let her depend on him in that moment.

'Guess we're both good actors.' he murmured, keeping his lips on hers.

IC: "Bitch, please," she snorts, breaking away so he can see her raised eyebrows. "I kept in character while in pain, I think I win."

'And I pretended I didn't care, i just wanted us to stop before I actually fried you.' his own sneer remained perfectly unfazed.

'See? Someone has to be sensible out of both of us.'

'You sounded just like a Gryffindor when you said that.' he chuckled, laughter already lighting up his honey coloured eyes.

"Oh God." She groans, burying her face in his shoulder. "God forbid that I end up a Gryffindor."

'You're stubborn enough to be one.' He laughed again, kissing the top of her head before placing a hand on the side of her shirt. 'Shall I attend to those now?'

'Consider it done.' he carefully lifted the edge of her shirt, wincing at the damage he'd caused. There was a grotesque burn on her skin, in the shape of his handprint. Lukas pulled out his wand, beginning to mutter a spell.

'It might sting for a few hours, sorry..'

She would shrug, but she doesn't want to jostle him. "As long as there's no lasting damage, I don't need to set the wolves on you, do I?" she teases.

'A fox can outrun the wolves anyway.' he joked back, letting the pinkness of her skin fade back to its usual tone. 'But no, it won't be permanent. Turn around.' Lukas needed to treat the other side.

She does so, hissing quietly in pain but not making any more of a fuss than that. "Two wolves could at least try to trap a fox."

'Maybe, but i'm not exactly your average fox.' he shut up so he could carry on mumbling his spell, letting himself concentrate. Lukas didn't object to the energy he used, simply getting on with the task of healing her.

He finished rather swiftly, rising to his feet and lacing his fingers between hers. 'Well I wouldn't take that risk, not now anyway. How do your sides feel?'
