Cayden still wished Topher had waited until she'd actually moved onto Artemis.

one of the opposition rose sharply, pointing accusingly at Topher. 'He keeps talking out of turn! why ain't you sewn his lips shut then?'

the woman sighed, addressing Topher. 'i would've preferred your outburst to concern miss dolohov, Mr Noir, since that is what i asked.' with a wave of her hands, she dismissed river from questioning.

The auror spoke again, more angrily this time. 'They're not even worth listening to, they clearly have no idea what they're doing here!'

Topher: I give the auror a less than polite gesture and sit down.

Crest: I sit up, "river has always been torn between light and dark. She cannot be trust and THIS is proof enough of that."

'Yes, Crest is correct...' another auror from the other side stood up. 'She talks about wanting to help Artemis, but even with veritaserum her story could be fabricated, Artemis could've been there breaking the Death Eater out all along.'

I glare at the other auror, "don't be stupid."

'What?' a smile played on his lips. 'You said it yourself. Her story - the story that's currently saving your brother's ass- can't be trusted.'

"I'm saying she is a traitor. I'm confirming her story you idiot." My icy stare could pierce even stone.

'She's an unstrustable source anyhow.' he added flatly, rolling his eyes.

'Insults will only hinder your arguement, Crest.' Cayden called from the stands, hand clasped together.

My glare turns to Cayden as I continue, "Sound has done so much good in his life. He has picked our family up from shambles and has faithfully served the law time and time again. More than I can say for half the people in here."

i know. she added silently, refusing to speak.

'justice? What do you know of justice when all you do is remain all secretive and untrusting? For all we know, you could be covering something up..'

"That's rich coming from you." I don't even turn a sideways glance toward him.

'Alright.' Cayden finally caved, sighing. 'Knock it off, we came here to solve a trial, not a bitch fight, put your handbags away.'

The other Auror Glared, before taking a seat obediently.

I take a seat upon command.

'I call Artemis Strayer to the stand.' it was time for him to be questioned now.

I look up at Cayden, downtrodden.

A trace of a smile appeared on Cayden's lips, before her tone and demeanour became professional again. 'Describe the events of the night of Death Dolohov's breakout to me. Where were you when it happened?'

"Hogwarts. I was robbed of my wand and this made classes difficult."

'Who do you have to support this claim?'

I look at Liria

I look back at him for a moment before I stand up-

I can support it.

'Very well.' she nodded, gesturing for Liria to continue. 'He was with you I assume?'

I nod- He was....

'May I ask what you were doing?' this was mainly for the rest of the court, Artemis needed a proper allibi.

'I'll accept that.' she almost smiled, before adding 'Anything else you wanted to say?'

"You know, she could very well be lying. He's gone for months at a time."
