It was astounding how much fear could be found in such a brave place.

The building was leaking fear. Unease. Anxiousness. From the workers. From the Death Eaters. And from the deatheaters who worked there.

No one seemed to pay mind to the tall, robed man. Though he seemed to tower over most, with his thin frame and grey toned skin different from the various shades of fleshy pink and tan, combined with most of the thicker workers.

He just stood out. And yet no one seemed to care about him. He would often make contact with some. Brushing arms, touching shoulders, often even grabbing arms.
None of them looked to him, though they all were filled with one expression when he did touch them.
Fear.


Straightening from coming in contact with one man, being taken in to an office for what appeared to be questioning, Pitch gave a long and cruel smirk, breathing in the air, letting it hiss out of his lungs in amusement.
Yes, this place was wonderful for his work.

She was more attentive than some, pausing midstep as she tried to figure out why everyone hung their heads just a tad lower than usual.
Cayden felt a twist of unease in her stomach, but she was too tired to notice..

Pitch quickly caught sight of the woman. The same woman from before.

He paused, looking quite amused, pushing through the crowds to walk just behind her.

"You look tired," He crooned, amused, "The Minister must be loading work on you. Just to keep you busy."

She bobbed her head in greeting. 'It wouldn't surprise me, he is aware of my contempt for him. He's probably afraid of me siding with Enzo.' The woman rubbed at her eyes, as if by doing so she could vanquish the circles shadowing them.

Well, the lack of sleep really was messing with this woman. The fact the didn't seem to even look at him to see who he was amused the Nightmare King, and he smirked.

"Enzo seems less corrupt than this place. It would probably be best you do side with him."

It took another minute for her to realise who she was addressing, but she remained calm nethertheless. 'I should probably ask how you managed to sneak into here, but Im assuming our wards aren't a problem for a creature such as yourself.'

Pausing, she stopped rubbing her eyelids. 'I am aware of the corruption here, you'd have to be blind not to see it, but Im here so i can try to eradicate it. I can't do that if i lose my job.'

"Of course not." The boogeyman spoke, raising a brow. "In fact, not many even see me. Or they ignore me. So it's quite easy to get into areas that are 'highly protected'."

Smirking, the tall figure held his hands behind his back, correcting his posture and looking at the woman with a stern sort of air.

"One woman against all these people? You do seem to be aiming for a goal bigger than what you can accomplish. "

There was a thin, almost smug smile playing on her lips. 'But i am not just one woman. I have Descole and the Strayers aiding me in my endeavours...' In truth she hated how he tried to adopt an almost patronising tone, she was an adult woman.
